Unit Member Not Visible in Directory of Members

About two months ago a member moved into the ward. I got her info and moved her records into our unit. The move seemed normal. When it arrived I printed off her membership record and put it into the ward binder of member records. Today I needed to look at her record on the ward computer. From the ML...

Re: Record marriage

That should work. I'm going to go to the church and give it a try right now. I wish I could say, Oh yes, now I remember. But I really don't remember doing that before (There's a lot of things I don't remember any more). Thanks for your help.

Record marriage

Having been a ward clerk for nearly two years I have joined young couples married by the bishop to one household with the husband as head. In each case neither had been married before. Last week a sister in our ward who's husband had died was married by the bishop to a brother in our ward who's wife...

Thanks so much. I'll try the Special Request first. If that doesn't do it I'll contact Global Services Center. Now I have instructions to do both. Thanks again.

How to correct an out-of-unit child's misspelled name on member's record

As suggested in the on-line training for ward clerks I made Individual Ordinance Summaries available to all attending tithing settlement. One member noticed the misspelling of his daughter's name as it appears on his record. The daughter is married, inactive, and living in another state. I attempted...

Membership record of inactive member's 9-year old child

An inactive member of our ward has 3 children. They are ages 2, 9, and 11. The two older children have not been baptized. All three show up as the member's children on the member's record or IOS, but only the 2-year old shows up with the inactive parent in the ward Directory of Members. I'm a new wa...

aebrown,
Thank you for your response and the insight it provides. I will share this info with my bishop (actually print it off and go over it with him). I know it will bring this issue to a long-awaited close.

Thanks! I was just recently released after serving 5 years as the 1st counselor in a bishopric. I was immediately called to be the ward clerk. Therefore, I know first hand the need to have the membership records current and accurate. I carefully went through the on-line training for ward clerks. Bei...
