I just checked. Central Missouri (my Stake) is up, on all units. Perhaps it is a localized outage?

I am a Stake clerk. My Stake clerk access to LDS.org just went away this week. I can still log on, but I no longer have elevated access on the web site. I then logged in to MLS, and saw that the entire postion of Stake Clerk was gone. There are the standard callings (with a star), but Stake clerk is...

lowest common denominator

The lowest common denominator is the units receiving your broadcast. You need to be mindful of their connection speeds, and throttle down to suit. In my Stake, I'm streaming a very small window, to accommodate my slowest unit.

Did the popping go away once the music stopped? And was the music on a different mic channel? Music and spoken voice are heard on different frequencies. Perhaps your microphone/amp was clipping (trying to operate outside it's intended range in either freq, or decibels) during the music portion only?...
