Re: Disciplinary Council

Thanks for the feedback. Not listening to the presidency discuss their decision makes it difficult to fill out the section about considerations that led to the presidency's decision though. I guess it's one or the other.

Disciplinary Council

Once all the 'evidence' has been discussed in a stake disciplinary council, "the stake presidency withdraws from the council room to confer in private". In your experience, does the stake clerk go in with the presidency? I have in the past (at the request of my president) as it's helpful i...

Re: correcting unit boundaries shown in lds.org "maps"

We have the same issue in our stake and were told to submit a boundary change request too -- the same paperwork required to actually change a ward boundary. It seems odd that the only way to update the online map to reflect the original boundaries is to submit a request that would eventually go acro...

Name removal process -- administrative action

I'm interested in knowing what exactly a stake clerk and ward clerk responsibilities are when members wish to have their names removed. Specifically, what does the stake clerk do when the stake president receives the letter from SLC (cc'd to the bishop) stating so and so sent in a request for remova...

My understanding is the church is re-doing (creating from scratch?) a new online system for stakes to enter in Church Service Missionary applications. The email I received about it says: In preparation for the CSM assignment process this year (which is happening more slowly because of a change to th...

I doubt my adding a custom calling to MLS entitled "Church Service Missionary Contact Person" would result in that person's info being in CDOL; nor would it grant him access to the "new online system". Have you heard of this new system or have any insight on how the contact person would be granted r...

Editing CDOL items

I was tasked with "designating a Church Service Missionary" contact person in the Church Directory of Leaders so that they can have access to the new online system when it becomes available. I've searched all over to find out how to do that exactly. The CDOL PDF of FAQs seems outdated, at least my s...

The stake center location shows up (with all the wards that attend the building as well). Checking and unchecking makes no difference in what shows up in the calendar. All that shows up are items that my stake as entered. FM group says there's nothing they can do. Others say it's impossible for 2 st...

I tried the "week view" to see if the other stake's activities would show up to no avail.

Maybe it would be easiest to create an out of unit record in the other stake so we can see their calendar afterall?

Our stake doesn't have ANY wards meeting in the stake center. We simply use the stake offices. All three wards that meet in the stake center are in another stake. Does that affect the situation at all? Having the stake center listed in the available location list is a step forward, but neither stake...
