Out of Unit STS & Bldg Scheduler Rights
I am an STS for Stake "A", but my records reside in the adjoining stake, Stake "B" because that is where the YSA unit is sponsored. I have an out of unit member record created in MLS for Stake "A" so that I retain my LDS.org access levels based on my calling as an Assis...

Closing a Unit - Procedure list?
Does anyone know of a published resource that outlines the procedures for closing down a unit both from a branch and stake level? Our YSA branch has been consolidated with that of an adjoining stake. I'm the branch's membership clerk, but I'm also a stake clerk and need to know the process for handl...

That's even worse! Seriously, can we get someone to look into this?

+1 for getting this changed! It's a pain in the butt and needs to be fixed.

Re: WWLT and sharing computers with missionaries
Yes I know I'm bringing back an old thread, but has there been any update with this? All of a sudden I find out today that missionaries have been using my clerk computers all over the stake. Still very leery of this because of issues we've had in the past. I'd send 'em all to the local libraries but...

Re: Lapel Microphone alternatives ??
Let me echo the "check with FM" statement. That being said, don't scrimp in the pro audio department, EVER! You get what you pay for. My predecessors always bought the cheapo wireless systems from radio shack and they've all fallen apart, have terrible audio quality among numerous other pr...

Re: WAP in YSA Ward Clerk's Office
This one has K.I.S.S written all over it. Unless there is a verifiable need, I'd toss it in favor of using the devices that have been provided by the Church.

Re: remote access
For those that come along later and don't want to view the video... the answer is no remote access. The church does not have licensing agreements with any vendors at the time of this post. An in-house solution is rumored to be in development, but as we know rumors can take a while to come to reality.

Re: WWLT and sharing computers with missionaries
I can't stress enough how much deep freeze is a lifesaver if your missionaries are using your FHC computers. Up until a year ago, we were not using deep freeze and I'd have to re-image the computers at least every six months. Finally got fed up with all the work that I yanked the missionary's access...
