Re: Getting Audio right with Virtual Sacrament Meeetings
I might add that when I turned off zoom noise cancelling so the organ could be heard, the noise going out of the audio system was so loud the organ could still not be heard well. Too much hum and harmonics. I added a noise isolation device to the audio coming out of the rack for the zoom and run tha...

Re: Chromecast and Liahona
I have the same or similar issue to what was described by htmrussell. I had installed chromecast on two TVs in our stake center about a year ago and got them to work, using the no splash policy group. Somewhere along the line they stopped working. I tried to re-install but the chromecast software wa...

Re: Need Email for Zoom Account Holder or Admin
I never received an email for the Church Zoom account management. But this person in the tech department was very helpful. And put someone on the case that led to a solution. You might contact him. [Moderator note: This is a public forum. Please do not publish email addresses without the owner's per...

Re: Need Email for Zoom Account Holder or Admin
Thanks for the comments on this issue. I found a name in the Church tech wiki of a specialist on Zoom. I found his email in CDOL and sent a message. He was very responsive and had a support specialist get in touch with me. Overall, it took about 4 weeks to get to a resolution. Never could get it wor...

Re: New Clerk PC hardware - 2021
Just want to close the loop. The Lenovo M710q and M720q tiny desktops have i5 processors; and the M700 has an i3 processor. The new M70q tiny desktop has a celeron processor. The M70q has a solid-state drive and 8 gig of memory ( versus standard drive and 4 gig in the older desktops). I ran Novabenc...

Re: Need Email for Zoom Account Holder or Admin
I have gone to the meet portal and selected "remove" for the zoom license for the ward. No immediate action. I guess I will wait an appropriate amount of time for action or contact from someone in HQs responsible for the zoom licenses/portal. Trying to be optimistic . Level of frustration ...

Re: Need Email for Zoom Account Holder or Admin
I received the following message at 2:54 am on Jul 15. I did not see it until about 11am. By then it was unrecoverable. I asked the local unit if they knew what happened. They didn't. And I don't either. I highly recommend that the host after each meeting login into the email account and look for an...

Need Email for Zoom Account Holder or Admin
Google closed the ward Google account that was used to create the ward zoom account. It could not be recovered. The zoom account still works, but any notices or correspondence from zoom cannot reach us since the email account was closed. The Church meet portal says to not remove a ward zoom account,...

Re: New Clerk PC hardware - 2021
I am confused by posts 91 and 92 in this topic. Post 91 refers to a link https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/help/support/meetinghouse-technology/computer/setting-up-a-new-clerk-computer?lang=eng with instructions for setting up a new clerk computer. They are date 9Sep 2021. Post 92 refers to a diff...

Re: New Clerk PC hardware - 2021
On the hardware, we seem to be going in a different direction than we were. I just received five replacements, Lenovo M70q, as described in the original post on this subject. These Celeron processors have a CPU mark of 2310. They are replacing three M700's with i3, and a CPU mark of 3628; one M710q,...
