In April of 2014 Microsoft is dropping support of Windows XP. This is of a concern to business as many are upgrading machines to newer Windows Operating Systems. We have several Windows machines in our Family History Center, is there a stated direction from the church on what local units should be t...

Stake Family History Director and Indexing Director

Our Stake is reorganizing our Family History Centers, we have 4 FHCs. We have a couple of questions. 1) Is there a requirement for the Stake Family History Center Director or the Stake Indexing Director to be Melchizedek Priesthood Holders. The real question is: can worthy Sisters fill these calling...

Re: Calendar - November 2014 month display not correct

yes, the other issue is the same, I am good with merging it. The solutions identified are the same for both 1) fix the problem as it appears to be perpetual (best) 2) Work around is to add time information rather than all day. Re: Calendar - November 2014 month display not correct

Thanks for the update .... sounds like it is Calendar wide for all church units, so there will be some confusion as people starting setting up and viewing calendars for a month. On a related note it is interesting that when you print the calendar it does show up correctly.

Calendar - November 2014 month display not correct

On both our Stake Calendar (Bismarck ND) and our Bismarck Temple Calendar information that we established for Saturday November 15th is showing on the Calendar as Friday November 14th. The same is true for a meeting scheduled for the 20th, shows on the 19th, and then again scheduled for December 6th...

This is reaching the spirit of contention. Let's take a breadth and let the funding be handled by the Stake President and other appropriate authority, with direction from the HandBook and associated guidelines, and let us do what are asked todo; provide the best support that we can for the members o...

I do know that the FM Group for MLS and the Family History provides equipment for the FH Library. However, the Church is encouraging the use of Webcasts and VideoConferencing. It would be in serious violation of security rules for units to use "EXISTING" MLS system or FH Computers for Webc...

When would I pick the Communicator over the PC or visa versa?

What makes best choice for the Stake that has the techologiests and the dollars to support either purchase. We are not interested in the newest product, nor are we afraid of it, what we want is the best product for the members of our wide geographically distributed stake.

Thanks based on your input we solved one of the problems. The Stake Technology person was put under a Custom position, we removed and then put him in with the Standard position. We uploaded and then the next day verified he had moved to CDOL and then to LDS.ORG. We are having the problem though were...
