Re: Can I donate Fast Offerings to a different ward online?

To me it's a bit like if a friend was having surgery and required a blood transfusion, I could go to my local blood donation center and donate. Even if my blood wasn't actually used for my friend, when my friend and his family know that I donated blood, they'll consider it as if I had donated direct...

Re: High Council Order

I've found that some Church leaders still retain practices that either are out-of-date, or were never officially in place but were rather locally practiced. For example, I just recently had a new RS President insist that her 1st Counselor had specific duties as opposed to the 2nd Counselor, even tho...

Re: Upload new signature cards?

turns out that the Bishop needs to approve removing an old card If you believe the Bishop never received an email alerting him to that, I'd suggest submitting that as Feedback. The Church has improved what a Bishop sees on the "Finance" Overview page (alerts if there's a Financial Stateme...

Re: Hymn sign numbers

Just to follow-up, we did receive the new numbers, and they fit the current board we had. The numbers are now matte instead of glossy, it's noticeable up close but from a distance (at least to my eyes) they are just as good.

Re: How do I create a Temple Prep course?

As the Handbook does state that the Bishopric "calls" the temple preparation instructor(s), I agree that it would be good to have this calling visibly assigned -- as opposed to an "assignment", which wouldn't appear anywhere. I'd go ahead and create a Custom Calling wherever you ...

Re: Re-print Limited Use Recommend that is Active

The General Handbook does talk about this in section 26.2.3, and does not make any distinction between limited-use and full temple recommends. Once lost/stolen (or destroyed in the wash), the recommend should be immediately canceled, and a temple recommend interview is performed and a new recommend ...

Re: Downloading General Conference talk videos

I have no idea if this is related, but I do know that each Conference, the Church is doing more and more non-English support, across-the-board. And I expect that the amount of internal resources available hasn't necessarily increased. So whereas before the English-language stuff may have received so...

Re: Move Records without Address but know ward

Even with active members who move, I know that Bishops absolutely love it when the former ward contacts them! (in addition to moving the records). And even more so for any special circumstances like yours. I'd suggest even before moving the records, the current Bishop or Clerk going into CDL and loo...

Re: printing list of unbaptized kids 9-18 and part member families

As your Ward Council is actively engaged in this effort, I would suggest that an additional goal be added to the Council's work: updating membership records. I know from experience that more often than not, efforts like yours can generate contact points and new information, but unless leaders are co...

Re: Tracking down inactive YSA

And don't be surprised if a high percentage of "inactive YSA" are in fact inactive marrieds. I 100% support that notion! And also the fact that so many times when leaders find out details like this, they don't take that important step of updating the records. Every ward has a large number...
