Re: Webcast 3.0 is out

The 2.1Mbps is still the highest, this is to keep the experince more stable for meetinghouse webcast. More stable? I have to jump through hoops just to get Wirecast DOWN to 2.1Mbps when sending a 720p/30 video stream. We have ample bandwidth to support 8k/60 if we had the equipment and need for it ...

Re: Webcast 3.0 is out

Thanks for sharing this news with the forum, Sean! The first thing I noticed was a complete list of my past events (both testing and otherwise). For some reason, I was not able to see that before. The UI looks a lot more refined and easier to navigate than before. You can also change your bitrate us...

Re: YouTube is out

In my testing, youtube seems to be allowed... But is that just around general conference? That's been true in the past. I don't know if that's changed. I've been checking on YouTube each week since the last general conference and it hasn't gone back to being blocked, at least on the "Managed&q...

Yep, but according to Brother, none of the drivers for that printer were ever signed.

Installing unsigned drivers

A few years ago, a ward purchased a Brother MFC All-in-One laser printer for the clerk's office, mainly so they could make copies of receipts without having to use the library copier on the far side of the building. Because of the new paperless finance system, they asked if I could install the scann...

I still have some Netgear consumer routers repurposed as AP's working in a couple of my buildings. They were installed back when we first got permission to have WiFi in buildings.

Re: Moving MLS access to another computer

Note that the Security Token reset can only be done when support is open. Typically, that doesn't include Sundays. (Maybe Sunday night when Australia starts their workday.) They have a limited crew there on Sunday, starting around 5 pm Mountain Time, mostly to reset MLS tokens and other minor help....

Re: Clerk Computer Provisioning / No Sophos

I would leave it be. If Sophos turned the firewall off, then it has replaced it with something else.

Re: Meetinghouse Internet Problems

These forums appear dead... Not yet. The forums are more active then they've ever been. ...all three buildings (2 with Comcast, 1 with ATT dsl ) have this nearly useless internet connection. DSL I can understand, it's a hit or miss kind of thing, but you should be getting MUCH better from your Comc...

Re: Computer Startup Time

I was notified recently that our stake clerk PC was running slow and asked if there was anything I could do. Once it completely booted up, it ran fine. I didn't trace it down to Sophos (which doesn't surprise me), I just put a note on it to logout when finished, but leave it running. That seemed to ...
