Re: Public Link for Webcasting System?

Since russellhltn was able to see my dummy event and watch the pre-roll, it appears you can view events from other stakes once you are given their event code. Seems logical, since non-member church accounts aren't attached to any unit and can use an event code to view a stake's webcast.

Re: Public Link for Webcasting System?

But can they view anything? If the system forces you to login in, I'd think it would limit who can view based on what stake their membership records are in. Not that I can see. The ONLY links available point to webcast.churchofjesuschrist.org , which if you're not logged in, redirects you to the SS...

Re: Public Link for Webcasting System?

As far as I know, the church has no provision for viewing without logging in with a church account. Now, with that said, non-members can easily obtain a church account without needing a membership number.

The other option is to live stream using another service.

Re: Broadcasting Sunday School

I was told that the firewire allows YouTube, but enforces "Safe Search" which can be a problem for live streaming because the system does not know the content of the live stream and will sometimes block it. Not really sure if this is true, but it has made me hesitate trying to do a youtub...

Re: SSID Changing?

Update: The plan to discontinue LDSAccess will go ahead on April 15 as planned. Here's a snippet from the Product Manager - Meetinghouse Networks' email: To clear some confusion about the LDSAccess and Liahona SSIDs: Current state: Meetinghouses that are 100% Meraki APs - Broadcasting LDSAccess and ...

Re: authenticator app

As was mentioned, a search for "church authenticator" in either app store returns the correct app at the top of the list. For iOS: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/church-authenticator/id1141071127 For Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.lds.authenticator In either case...

Re: MH Webcast to address COVID-19 restrictions?

If precautions are taken, I think there would be some flexibility in creative solutions during these unusual times. I offered to my stake president the availability to come to my home and have his message webcast to the stake, while adhering to the practice of social distancing. I also let him know...

Tickets are now irrelevant since all such gatherings have been cancelled, postponed, or will be available electronically only.

You might have to look outside the church webcasting system if you need to handle a larger numbers of connections.
