Re: Ward website -- birthday list and photos

I would strongly encourage them to keep the newsletter going rather than setup a website. Russell is correct about the legal and personal risks involved. Picture a bad actor seeing a scheduled Primary Days activity or even a youth dance and took advantage of that knowledge. Lives could be seriously ...

Re: Trying to change banks for donations

I assume the routing number is based on what state the account is in. Yep, for the most part. From their website: "Your routing number identifies the location where your account was opened ." [Emphasis mine.] https://www.usbank.com/bank-accounts/checking-accounts/checking-customer-resourc...

Re: How to stop YT from recording / posting live streams?

[*] Private - effectively only the owner can see it. Kind of like a "soft" delete. But the video is still up on YouTube's servers. Even if someone has the URL, once marked private, it cannot be seen. It might be useful when we move into the "for shut-ins only" phase of webcastin...

In Utah, the routing number for US Bank should be 124302150. Is that what you're using?

Re: How to stop YT from recording / posting live streams?

I'm finding YTL is just very weird. Up until this AM, our channel was searchable even though there is no content in it. The search returned the link to the upcoming LiveStream. This AM, I can't find the channel nor the scheduled stream in a generic search. The only thing I changed was the DVR toggl...

Re: New Clerk PC hardware - 2021

You cannot get a security reset on weekends. Is this still true? I was told by an HQ support representative a few months ago, that except for a small window on Sundays, a security reset could be requested any time. Yeah, they can be reset by most anyone at GSD, even after hours and weekends. If you...

Re: How to stop YT from recording / posting live streams?

YouTube has three privacy levels: [*] Public - is wide open. Video is searchable. This is your typical video on YouTube. [*] Unlisted - only accessible by those who have the link. This is "private" by obscurity. The video will not show up in search results, but can be added to playlists. ...

Re: LCR for tithing

MLS is still the only means to print checks, which is still needed, at least in the US. Check printing has been available in LCR (even for the US) for a couple years now. You are still required to print on the units administrative computer but you don't need MLS to do it. We recently got a new comp...

Re: MLS (Local System) BAK files

Is there really a need to keep any of them? I've usually kept a few year-end backups, but the instructions for setting up a new computer have never said to keep any and restoring an old backup is never recommended. All the data is at HQ, LCR now how finance, and they have never been requested in an...
