Just over two weeks on, and no change: nothing further has been synced (I have made no new alterations) from/to any device. Looks like the 'wait a while' idea doesn't work either.

Turns out it works fine once connected to the Internet.
Must be an online stream, not downloaded to the device (not surprising really).

I will try and compile (or make a start at least) or working/non working also.
I we both post the list here, we can see if it is the same ones on both devices.
I will try for both iPhone and iPad.

Mine doesn't work either.
You see the greyed out triangle in the lower right corner of the app while you're reading scriptures? On the iPhone app that is white not grey, and pressing it starts the audio stream.
Must be a bug in the iPad app?

Anyone else having this issue, I have discovered that asking the app to download/install more than a few things at once often does cause a hang/crash. Suggestions to help prevent it (in my experience): Don't use the "install all" buttons - much as they are a handy idea, it seems that 'all'...

My iPad and iPhone 4 (not the S, more's the pity lol) both synchronise notes they have made to the online My Study Notebook on lds.org, but still nothing comes the other way. Was this supposed to happen only this way and the other direction is still in development?

I have exactly the same issue. Although I find that many videos do work, just not all of them.
