WiFi in our stake

cybr wrote:Alright, I think I got what I need now. Thanks.

Hi,

For what it's worth, what we did in our stake is documented here.

Best Regards,

Eric

commercial WiFi installation in our stake

I also appreciate the need to learn from one another of what basically works, and what works very well, so we can help those soon to follow. We just completed the WiFi installation into the three buildings in our stake using commercial equipment. The documentation for setup in each of the buildings...

WiFi installation in our stake

That is what the help desk told me anyways. I do not know if it is the mos appropriate solution. I am going to give them a call today and try to figure that end of it out before I proceed. I know my President wants several areas of the Stake Center to have access. And if the Aironet 1200 only give ...

capture the broadcast

I'd suggest you think about capturing it at baseband - audio and video - rather than at the stream level. You will certainly have a better recording. If you must do it at the stream level, I'd suggest trying RePlay ( http://applian.com/avscs/ ). It seems to be pretty solid software, easy to use. The...

I'm going to nit-pick here: Can you show me where that's part of the church's Family History SS core curriculum? I can understand how that's desirable and teachers want to teach that. I just have a problem with the word "required" in that sentence. If it were truly required, the church would have p...

streaming in Utah County

I am hoping that our inter-building network will provide sufficient bandwidth to eventually stream HD video in order to get great quality. We will probably start with standard def, but want some growth options for the future. We have this capability now, and have been streaming for a couple of year...

dividers = RF shield

Were we to place the 2nd AP in a better location (e.g. above the stage) instead of at the edge of the building, we'd have 100% coverage with the two AP's. (moving the AP from the stake offices to the front of the chapel in the organ speaker cage or something would be even better.) Maybe - you'd nee...

4 WiFi uses

What are the uses that will benefit the leadership at large to run the ward more efficiently, or even benefit the members? Assume that WiFi will be installed in the building. 1) Familysearch Indexing class . We have already run one joint EQ/HP class where we have done a Familysearch Indexing traini...

Thanks!

Of course not. If it were written down, we wouldn't be having this discussion. [grin] We no longer use PCAnywhere. When we did, we were on dialup, and someone at the receiving end had to set the modem to answer the phone. CHQ was always very antsy when we did this and insisted that it immediately b...

I assume that our FM Group coordinated with the installation team, Thanks for your inputs. Do you have a contact you could provide me at the FM who might know about who did the installation, and/or what was done? Or a contact name from that era of the leadership that might have known about it? What...
