That danger is why I was thinking of only allowing the admin associated to the resource or calendar to do it. It's not a feature to be used lightly or by anyone but does save some time and aggrevation for the initial conversion to using the website or transfer of duties from non-Tech savvy to tech s...

Calendar Upload

Just as it is possible to download calendar info. It would be very nice for the calendar and resource administrators to be able to upload calendar entries. The admin could work offline and then upload a whole month at a time or more.

How does the Overide work? Is this a website feature or a word of mouth, ' hey never mind what the website says.'? I hope it is a mechnism in the website as the other way is sending a mixed message.

Add to the wish list

This may have come up already but I would really like to see a way to link resources with events. As it is there are at least two calendars involved if you want to schedule an activity and the building as a resource. This would have to work between ward activities and stake resources as well as the ...

Thanks for the responses

I appreciate the ideas and will look for the feature request thread. I had considered the stake resource approach but also thought that the coloring (blue for stake, red for ward) might get confusing. Having two or three calendars (resource and each ward event) would be bad already. The designated w...

Shared Resources

A quick search didn't show me if this had been addressed before so I thought I would ask the community. Our ward shares the building with another ward. When it comes to setting up resources for the web site, this becomes cumbersome as the other ward also has building resource needs for their ward ac...

What I do

Question: How much effort should a clerk go to to get those statements to the members? As far as I know, it's only useful if the member does a tax write-off and hasn't kept careful records. In that case, they'll hunt the clerk down. By all means, send them out to the people you do have contacts for...

My simple addition

MLS-KML v2.4 attached with sjpynes' LabelStyle suggestions. I wish I had found these forums when I was first wrestling with mapping issues. I ended up modding the Ostler Python script to do what I wanted. Still not entirely happy with it as I have found Google Earth/Maps to be the least reliable fo...
