Thanks for the info. I went to the Corporate Express website to get the price. So, I take it that the Church has a corporate account and we can get the toner at a discount? What is the account name we should use when ordering? We received zero information when the copiers arrived. They just showed u...

Stake and Ward copiers

At the beginning of this year the lease on all of our Sharp copiers expired and the Church replaced our stake office copier with a HP Laserjet M3027 and the library copier with a Xerox Workcentre 4150. (Let me just say I absolutely despise the HP Laserjet because it takes at least 5 minutes to warm ...

So, do you know why the servers continue to deny connections and what are the plans for resolving this issue? I think headquarters should expect extremely high volumes of connections on Sundays because that's when we do our work. I'd like to reduce the extremely high volume of phone calls to me when...

Transmission errors

My clerks didn't tell me which afaria errors they were getting. In the past it has always been a problem on the server side and when every ward is having the same problem I assumed it was the servers again. They all tried retransmitting and finally got it to go through. Although one ward was not sur...

Multiple wards with transmission problems today

I've been getting calls all day from my wards with transmission problems. This is really getting unbearable. The bad thing is that after getting the afaria error the system locks up and my clerks can't exit MLS gracefully. I read here that it wasn't the 2.8.2 update, but the problems seemed to start...

Jimmer, I am using the official Church ordination forms available from the distribution center and my C++ program does not store any information. It just allows for typing in all the information and printing it in the correct spot on the certificate. I believe the newest version of the old ordinatio...

I've had this happen three times on the same computer.
I believe it might be related to not shutting the computer down properly and things getting left in a corrupted state.

This is a good reason to do backups every time something is changed.

I just printed out the sustainings, scanned the document into Word, made the corrections manually and reprinted. Easy.

I've got the 5.5 Desktop installed on 4 out of 8 computers. It takes me at least 3 hours to do one system after determining what files to back up, run the update, and restoring files and applications. I've noticed that the 5.5 Desktop causes MLS to take forever in starting up and also to transmit vi...

I consider the most important aspect of the MPH ordination is that it be recorded. If it's not recorded then it is as if the ordination never took place. Therefore, it is our responsibility as stake clerks to facilitate this action as efficiently as we can. Whatever procedure is implemented in your ...
