Re: Pre-scheduling disabling and enabling access points
Although the post clearly states that this is not a tool to "pre-schedule AP for webcasts", I can't think of any other use for a scheduler. I don't anticipate the need to disable AP access except for webcasts. Perhaps others may suggest why this is needed. I provided similar feedback via t...

Re: Download All Individual Conference Talks
This is the first time I've downloaded this type of repo from github. The method I was using introduced an extra line ending character to the raw file. This morning I noticed the Zip file method (sorry). I replaced the entire repo and got a different error. This one looks like it may be more easily ...

Re: Download All Individual Conference Talks
Here is the verbose output. The only additional output I noticed was the URL. Thanks for offering to review the output. C:\Users\larry\GenConfDownloader>.\gen_conf_downloader.py -verbose -start 2017 -dest .\Conferences https://www.lds.org/languages Traceback (most recent call last): File "C:\Us...

Re: Download All Individual Conference Talks
Hi Sam, Thanks for the link and the program. Although I don't code in Python, as a UNIX/Linux System Engineer I'm usually pretty self sufficient in getting stuff to run. However, this script is throwing about 9 or so errors. Python is installed, and I believe I have your code installed correctly as ...

Re: Recommended Composite to HDMI scaler
Our FM group manager just ordered us the Atlona model. I hope that one works well.

Re: Recommended Composite to HDMI scaler
In November 2015, our test webcast with the Monoprice model went well. For our actual webcast the Monoprice was an immediate failure. The video was blinking steadily. We still have our MWC so I switched to that and all was well again. I passed this information along to our FM group. I also suggested...

Re: Networking the Epson 955WH Projector
Thanks for your responses, everyone. This would be a private LAN separate from the building's. I was hoping that delays with transcoding or other necessary signal processing would be imperceptible. Any buffering as occurs for the webcast would absolutely be a show stopper. I've spent no effort on th...

Networking the Epson 955WH Projector
For years, at each stake conference, I've been connecting a projector for the cultural hall congregation to closed circuit video. It's a pain to run the cable and power and tape them down. Now we have one of the new Epson projectors with networking. It would make me very happy if there was a cost ef...

Re: Firewall Upgrade Feedback
I agree that they should be on port 2 (10.x.x.x). However, they have already connected to port 0 along with along with the unit PCs. I believe that the GSC should have given that same advice to the FM group rather than the vague, "port 0, 1 or 2 is okay".
Thanks,
Larry Autry

Firewall Upgrade Feedback
I was surprised that our FM group didn't know anything about the firewall upgrade. Once I started working with them however, they initiated the necessary work orders to install additional cabling and switches in the buildings where required. Another point of confusion was which port to put the FM de...
