Re: Donation Address Incorrect

Called the GSC this morning. The tech said it is a glitch in their banking system, which local leaders can't access or fix; calling them is the only way to update it. She said it seems to only happen when someone was using a PO Box as their contact address (which I was at my previous address). Gener...

Re: Donation Address Incorrect

I looked myself up in CDOL and see the same residential address as is listed in my membership record. The mailing address in CDOL exactly matches the residential address.

Re: Donation Address Incorrect

There are both RESIDENTIAL and MAILING addresses listed on my member profile in LCS. In my case, the MAILING address is set to "Same as residential". Looks like I'll be calling the GSC.

Re: Donation Address Incorrect

I know this is an old thread, but I just noticed this issue on my own record. I generated a donation report on myself and it printed with an old address that does not match the information that appears in other LCR reports or directories. I'm a Bishopric member and can access my information on LCR o...

Re: Donations for Minors

In our family, when the kids get money (birthdays, holidays, allowance, whatever) we immediately deposit it to the bank. I help them track how much is in their savings account by showing them their balances on the bank website. When they want to buy something, they know that I go with them to the st...

Re: Donations for Minors

It's also good experience for kids to learn cursive or diagram sentences on a chalkboard or mend a wagon wheel, but not all historical practices necessarily have application today. My preference would be for members of any age to be allowed to pay tithing online. Anyone can hunt down and use a gray ...

Re: Donations for Minors

That would require me finding currency or coins (I think we might have a jar around here somewhere, or perhaps I should check the couch cushions) or paper checks (haven't seen those around the house for a number of years now).

Re: Donations for Minors

It would be nice if parents were allowed to to make donations on behalf of our minor children. It shouldn't be too difficult to pull a list of children from a household under 13 years old, and allow online donations to be made in their behalf so that they show up on their own statements. For now I'l...

Re: Gospel Library not working in Windows 8.1

I re-installed BETA. While still connected to WIFI, I tried to start the app. The spinner on the splash screen did not spin ... I got sometimes one or other times only two little yellow dots before the app crashed. Did this 10 times. I enabled airplane mode. The spinner circles on the splash screen,...

Re: Gospel Library not working in Windows 8.1

After the installation I noticed there was a "TheChurchofJesusChrist..." folder in the Packages folder, but after un-installation of the software that entire folder was also removed automatically. So it doesn't appear that rogue files are remaining there as suspected / hoped.
