Re: SOLUTION: LDS directory services are unavailable

I had a sister bring me her Samsung phone today asking if I could help her get Member Tools installed. She cannot get past the Sync stage when logging in using the Android App. The error pops us stating the directory services are unavailable. Try again later. I helped her uninstall and go to the pla...

Cannot login to MLS

I am the Stake Tech Spec. I got a call this afternoon to come and take a look. All users for this Ward are listed, including mine, but no one can login. The "Invalid Entry" for wrong username/password box pops up. On a long-shot, I tried the Missing Users trick with no luck. I moved the Unit# folder...

I might add that I think it may have been a mistake. And unless they cut off downloads during prime time Sunday, I think they are heading for a train wreck when everyone dials in to report their financial deposits. Just my opinion (based on about five years of experience with big upgrades). [grin] ...

Hi, I just posted essentially this same thing in the other thread about the "ratty" font in 3.0. I would have posted it here, had I seen it first. That said, WE are not a Beta Stake, but still got the 2.9.4 upgrade anyhow nor did we request it...but now that we have it, well...now what? Just an FYI ...

No. Our stake is not on the Beta program...but it notified us and downloaded what was supposed to be a 2.9.4 "update". After the reboot and much churning to update the database to the new format, it is now proudly displaying version 3.0...goody. We should not have gotten this update. Oh, and the new...

Also I have been reading a lot on this site about increasing the memory from 256 to 512. All the computers are very slow. What do you believe is the major factor in the how slow a computer is working? Without going into too high tech jargon, 256meg of RAM is not enough to run the operating system a...

When I upgraded our unit computers, I went to a source I trust for quality memory, Crucial. Depending on the model, the memory in a Dell can be upgraded to a gig or if you are lucky, the newer Dells around three years old can be upgraded with a two gig "kit" at a VERY reasonable cost. If you do not ...

3) Let's say, for the sake of argument, that the information being sent between the clerk's workstation and the router is eavesdropped on (image a creative group of youth with an affinity for technology). The workstation isn't compromised, just the connection between the workstation and the router ...

BAwerkamp, My experience with LinkSys drivers on windows is this: Who is trying to control the connection, Windows? or LinkSys? They are both control freaks and want to run the show. Down in the lower right corner of the screen in the tool bar will be an icon for linksys. If it is "dark", windows is...
