Re: LCR “Send a Message” application NOT sending to yahoo.com accounts

As someone else noted, this is a pretty common problem when the sender "spoofs" its address (like the church does) because filters on big email systems (like yahoo) may flag it as spam and block everything from that sender. There are ways to manage it so things aren't blocked, but it requi...

Re: Second Relief Society Presidency in LCR

When we lived in Hong Kong, one of our branches had seven relief society presidencies. The branch was almost exclusively sisters who work as domestic servants and who only get one day off a week, so whatever day off they had was their sabbath. As a result, we had a Monday president, a Tuesday presid...

Re: Email entire ward?

Just to clarify - @lukelucas1980 - is correct that you can't send messages from the LDS tool phone app. @davesudweeks is also correct that you can send messages from a browser on your phone (or a tablet, or computer, or about any device with a browser), but not from the phone app. This is just one m...

Re: Hymn sign numbers

We aren't the only church that uses hymn numbers. They are commonly available in various sizes. If the ones from the distribution center don't work for your board, you can order them other places - for example on amazon. One seller I saw on amazon says they will trim them to the exact size you want....

Re: Callings in Primary

They don't need to be called and set apart if they are just filling in as substitute for a week or two. By the time you would call, sustain, and set apart, the need will have passed. In our ward, we just treat it as an assignment, not a calling. We usually try to have "pool" of potential s...

Re: "Send a Message" Function on LCR

This thread is starting to loop. tincupman should look back a few months (September) in this thread. There is a discussion of the three common email tools we have - (1) the "send message" function limited to just a few leaders, (2) the "directory" function available to many more ...

Re: "Send a Message" Function on LCR

Please - someone correct me if I am mistaken, but IIRC, the "directory" method will only allow him to send to members who have set their privacy profile to allow all members visibility. The LCR "Send a Message" method will get those same people plus all of those who have set priv...

Re: Alternate place to buy paper sacrament cups?

I need to understand why the church is still producing PLASTIC ANYTHING when plastic pollution is killing our planet. Surely we should be leading the way as a very responsible consumer and go right back to WASHABLE sacrament cups?????? Please advise me where we can carry this initiative forward? Th...
