Re: Bishops / Ward Specialists want permanent camera solution - what do I do?

The mounted camera in our Stake Center is an old analog camera. The video quality is poor, at sub 720p. Since it is the stake center, I believe that when the camera breaks the FM Group will replace it, hopefully with a more capable one. And I would expect that to happen in sooner than 10 years with...

Re: Notes Deleted

Most of my notes have disappeared as well and are not reappearing. For a number of years I have been reading posts about Notes disappearing and reappearing again. The only thing that seems to be consistent is that they sometimes go away, and they most often return after a few days. That is not acce...

Re: Question about an LDS.org Music Transposing tool I can't find anymore.

I could find it for hymns... but not for the primary children's hymns.... The link in this post will take you to the Hymns. In the yellow bread crumb bar at the top you will see that you are at Home / Collections / Hymns. Click on Collections. Scroll down underneath hymns for the Children's Songbook.

Re: Gospel Library settings adjusted for my slow connection

I'm not sure what the church's definition is of a slow connection. When I am streaming a Church broadcast, I get the low bandwidth warning any time my ISP stutters longer than about three seconds. I thought that was what the buffer was for, but apparently not. I also get it when the Church servers ...

Re: How to stop YT from recording / posting live streams?

YouTube doesn't have a setting to auto-delete or automatically make the video private after the stream is complete. In this post someone is using a method that changes the stream to "unlisted" 60 seconds after streaming stops. They still have to go and delete them. Is changing them to unl...

Re: How to stop YT from recording / posting live streams?

When each stream ends, I'm seeing that a recording of the stream is posted to the channel. Since the Church guidance is NOT to record the meetings, I'm trying to figure out how to stop this. Is there a way? Otherwise I'll have to delete them manually each week. From another post I read, I think you...

Re: New Clerk PC hardware - 2021

I am going to be driving into town Friday evening and unboxing the new machine to see what state it is currently in. I'm hoping it is mostly set up, and presumably with the current clerk computer password already, and that I simply plug it in and plug into the nic and she's ready to at least operat...

Re: MLS (Local System) BAK files

I follow the [U.S.] retention rule of "three years plus current" when copying the files over. Even then, it's one of the longest part of putting in a new computer. That is why I only copy over the year-end files, not the weekly (or more often) backup files. It is all reference material. Y...

Ask the bishop to sign in and approve the new card.

No. It is going away completely. As others have mentioned, the replacement suggestion is YouTube Live, but there are other options also available that are acceptable.
