I tried to get the previous version of GL using the instructions found on this page. It doen't work. I just get to an android project page where i could volunteer to help with a project and Gospel Library is not listed on the page at all.

That seems to work. I wonder why it's not turning up in a search?
The question is about LDS TOOLS but the link you give is for Gospel Library.
