Re: Changes to Webcast buffering times

I'd like to preface my complaint with that I know there is documentation and notifications regarding the changes to the pre-post event buffers. Yesterday I ran a live stream for a funeral service. I set up the event with 30 minutes lead time before the actual event start time of 11am. I set it for 1...

Re: Changes to Webcast buffering times

With these changes, I think the scheduled length should be broken into 15-minute increments. This will allow us to schedule more important meetings closer to their expected run time, rather than being stuck to 1-hour increments. For example, a meeting that is expected to run for 1 hour and 15 minute...

Re: Download statistics after a webcast

Moderator note: The API that was posted here was removed by the request of the product manager of the Broadcast Infrastructure & Meetinghouse Network team. The church currently does not have any API's setup for general use. I apologize for any inconvenience. Apologies, I didn't realize that was...

Re: Simulcast Stake Conference

A reason I prefer YouTube is it's easier for less technical people to view the streams on their TV with by using a Roku, AppleTV, etc and not needing to hook up a laptop. But I agree, the redundancy is important as I've had issues with the church system more regularly, but I've also had random issue...

It is working for me, but it has been an hour since you posted. Perhaps it was a busy evening at the server farm.
Yea, it's all good now. Strange timing.

Unable to access meet.churchofjesuschrist.org

Hi All, I had been able to access https://meet.churchofjesuschrist.org and setup 2 Zoom accounts, but this evening I have been unable to access the site. I just get the message: Service Unavailable - HTTP Error 503. The service is unavailable. I contacted Global Support and they were only able to su...

Re: Simulcast Stake Conference

Hi all, Another simpler option is https://restream.io . It's less than $15/month for the monthly "Standard" plan which allows you to connect to a Youtube account + 1 custom RTMP destination (the church system). I have a broadcast TV & web development background and I've had a tough tim...

Re: WiFi Password changed April 1st

It's now August and this is the 2nd time I've heard of it. I never received any official notice (I'm the STS) via e-mail regarding a password change and ours never changed, so a little confused on if/when this is happening.

Re: WiFi "attack on your network" message for LDS Access

Could it be that the app doesn't like the VPN imposed by the firewall?

Re: Wireless Internet Providers

Just a small suggestion, if your building uses a WISP or Cell Modem, I'd discuss disabling the Wifi with your Stake Presidency. DSL is bad enough, but I couldn't imagine leaving Wifi on for the entire building with either a WISP or Cell modem. WISP might be able to handle it, but they just aren't bu...
