Simple Form

I've found out that to create a savable form requires "Adobe LiveCycle Reader Extensions" (see http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/acrrfaq.html question 10) so if anyone has that extension this would be a simple project for you that would benefit the world. :) I've fixed the fields from the other ...

That looks great

That does exactly what I was hoping for and more. I didn't know that you could submit the information on the form without just returning the form - that's great. Is it possible to save the information in the form like the one at http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f1040.pdf?portlet=3 ? I think that would...

Adobe Acrobat form of a Family Group Sheet

The problem will always exist that a family history enthusiast will want genealogical information from relatives who don't do much family history and consequently don't have an easy way to share that information. (It is too much of an overload to tell the less involved relative to download PAF, ente...

Permissions forwebsite administrator or ward clerk

I think the best fix for the problem would be to allow the website administrator or ward clerk to change the individual's email address. Right now the ward clerk can enter/edit a one email address per house hold through MLS, but that email address is not reflected in the LUWS membership directory. T...

Thank you all for you interest. It is great to see that other people and companies see the need for something more to aid them in recording their scriptural insights. I don't have the programming experience to head this project. I would enjoy trying to support the project, however. If someone wants ...

this software is already in development though I can't say much more than that. It should be released later this year with functionality I think everyone will be happy with. Oak Is it the church that is developing this software or is it a private company that is developing it? Thanks for the info.

Database template

I’ve developed a Microsoft Access database rough draft to illustrate what I’m thinking. It is posted on the webpage: http://webpub.byu.net/tebbsb/ I’m looking into places to host the project – right now I’m leaning toward hosting it with SourceForge. Let me know what you think I should do.

I think any collaborative study journal is going to need to be web-based, allowing you to remotely save your data so you can access it when home, at work, on your laptop remotely, cell phone, etc. I think your right - it would be great to be able to access it wherever. I wonder if the church would ...

David - Thanks for your questions. I'll just address them in order. 1) I really don’t have experience with online API’s, so I imagined the study journal would stand alone on a PC and that users would upload their files to function with the online scriptures. I think that it would be grea...
