Re: health hazards of too much wifi

Before members blame WiFi for feeling ill after attending church meetings, they should consider that it might be the concentration of perfumes that’s making them ill. My Wife has asthma and felt ill and had a hard time breathing during the week after attending church meetings. We finally figured out...

Re: LDS.org calendar not sending email updates

My ward calendars will not automatically send out notifications the day before events. Before anyone asks: Yes, I verified that I am subscribed to the calendar. Yes, I marked the event to send a notification 1 day before. Yes, I checked my email spam folder for the emails. It will send an immediate ...

Email Broadcasts

My stake president received an email with instructions to forward as an email broadcast to the entire stake. The new Directory feature does not have a way to send emails at all, much less send a broadcast email to the entire stake. The best we can do is copy and paste email addresses from each group...

Windows 10 Upgrade

On my home PCs the latest update to Windows includes an icon on the task bar to reserve your free update to Windows 10. I'm wondering how many of our clerks are going to do this and, later, actually install the Windows 10 update when it's released next month. I assume we don't want clerk PCs to auto...

Lenovo Tiny Power Button

I recently updated several clerk PCs in my stake, some of which were the new Lenovo Tiny PCs. These have an option to turn it on through the keyboard by pressing Alt P. Unfortunately I used this method while setting the machines up and didn't notice until afterwards that the actual power button on t...

Re: lds.org and IE11

I tried clearing everything including cookies but it didn't make a difference. Tried again later and it started working again. It might just depend on which server you get when you browse to the sight.

Re: lds.org and IE11

Good luck sending feedback. From my experience it can take weeks and even months before anyone replies, if they reply at all. Hopefully someone from CHQ will read this and look into the problem. I'm seeing the same issue too.

Re: Drag & Drop Confirmation

Yeah, a confirmation prompt might be annoying but not half as annoying as showing up for an event on the wrong day because somebody accidentally moved it in the calendar. As for the Google-like prompts, I'm afraid they would be ignored or go unnoticed if editors are not forced to acknowledge them--e...

Re: Stake Leaders need access to view all wards

For years, since the Church has been organized there has not been a need to have the kind of information found in a ward bulletin or news letter available to stake leaders. If there was there would have been a mandate in the Handbooks to do so. I don't think the Handbooks address distributing copie...

Re: How can I turn a stake calendar into a ward calendar?

From what I can tell, changing a stake calendar to a ward calendar and vice versa is not possible. I am both a stake and ward calendar administrator and I am not able to change any stake calendar to a calendar in my ward and I cannot change any of my ward's calendars to a stake calendar. I think the...
