Re: External Antenna for Cisco 881w Firewall
I realize this is an old thread but thought it worth a bump. My current assignment has necessitates revisting this topic. I am interested in the use of passive and powered antennae with the 881W. I am certain there is adequate information available for each but want to take this a step further. My e...

Typically it is the construction of the building (cinder block with steel reinforcement) that attenuates the signal so much.
Install the antenna in the attic maintenance spaces. Much less attentuation there.

Re: Engineering forum?
I don't know that Meetinghouse Internet is structured enough to serve the purpose but it is worth a try. At a minimum it would need a group of people who were willing to do more than passively complain or passively collect info from popular threads. I think the issue of a designated point of contact...

Engineering forum?
Is there a forum here for network instructure standardization? I suppose it would apply more to meetinghouse networks than data center or headquarters. It seems like a working body (IETF style) to distill requirements into standard implementations is needed given the wide array of stuff being plugge...

Re: Multicast on Meetinghouse network
How about starting with something simpler like understanding how multicast works? It also helps to understand the difference between unicast, multicast, broadcast, and anycast from the network infrastructure perspective. Assuming it could be configured and allowed the local multicast support will de...

Is that a workaround or technical regression? :-)

Re: Church Directory of Organizations and Leaders Not Access
Aw shucks, I guess I am just not as bright as you. :-) I should have been more specific. Of course a service status page would be nice in any case. :-) I suppose I'll have to add these direct URLs to my own monitoring and stop using the leader resources. Of course I can work around the link by going...

Re: Church Directory of Organizations and Leaders Not Access
*BUMP* I have been unable to access CDOL as linked from Cleark/Leader Resources for several days. Have tried different PCs, FF and IE. No joy. Is there an application/service status page anywhere on tech.lds.org where we can view app/service status? It would probably obviate the need for posts such ...

Re: Calendar Offline (again)
So I'll bump this again since the same problem is happening again today. Well today is a bit different. The calendar is just braindead (spinning cursor, no response). It's a bit slow, as it often is on Sundays, but it's working fine for me. I expect response time in Sandy is probably better than he...
