Based on the wiki, I can see that this project is on hold again. I sure don't understand why this isn't a priority for the Church. I think that the calling of Home and Visiting teacher is the most important calling a person can have. I sure wish this would get some attention rather than some of thes...

I'm glad to see that finally some attention is being given to Android. Thank you for the Android Gospel Library. It is working great so far on my DROID Incredible!

You've never mentioned what platform you prefer, but the Mormon Channel (which I assume is what you mean by "LDS Radio") and Gospel Library both have development underway for: ⋅ iPhone ⋅ Windows Mobile ⋅ BlackBerry ⋅ Palm Pre ⋅ Android ⋅ K...

I'm not sure where you get that idea. Look at the list of Community Projects underway. There are half a dozen platforms being worked on. Apple may be first, but it's by no means the only platform. I guess I'm thinking of the LDS Radio and Gospel Library. Both are completely worthless to me. I'm jus...

To be honest, I'm really getting tired of the Church developing applications that I cannot use. I mean, come on... develop it for everyone or don't develop it at all. I will never own an Apple product, but all the Church seems to do nowadays is Apple. Kind of ridiculous if you ask me.

A much better idea would be to use a laptop and the computer projector that many buildings already have. It may not be the sleek, hipster thing to do, but it would get the job done on the existing platform at a fraction of the cost. FutureJack is right. Let's show some acknowledgement for Church st...

Why should that be an obstacle? You chose one, and work with that one. Are they that hard to implement? Are there no easy conversion tools between them? The merits of these readers is that they are actually “eBooks”. The screen technology they use is different from normal PCs or handhelds. They are...

I thought the Kindle had a single user interface for reading content that was commonly used by everything. I guess that shows what I know about it. Maybe I'm just not as picky as you guys.

I think the project idea is a good one, and technically it would seem easy to implement. I think all you would have to do is transform the scripture content into the proprietary Kindle file format, and let the Kindle book reader software do the rest of the functionality and features. No need. Just ...
