Re: How to use LCR with a group (not yet a branch)
This is super helpful. Thank you. The guidance I just got from Salt Lake confirms everything above. They said that basically a group is treated as if it were a class. Classes don't stand alone; they are 'hosted' by a ward. In like manner as a class, a group is hosted by a ward. All membership record...

How to use LCR with a group (not yet a branch)
We have people meeting together in a Portuguese group. They are not yet the size of a branch, but they are big enough that we are running into problems because we don't have a formal LCR way to track them. They are using a spreadsheet for now. I need some kind of LCR support for a group because they...

Seeking tithing settlement ideas during COVID
I'm curious what other wards are doing for tithing settlement during COVID. Our sacrament mtgs. are now in person, though sparsely attended. Are you doing a hybrid model of in-person with the bishop and virtual? Are you signing people up with something like signup-genius since many people aren't in ...

Re: Tracking hybrid sacrament mtg attendance
Thank you for your responses. We are aware that this isn't being tracked for the quarterly report, but we would like to have a sense of how things are going in our stake until we are past the COVID situation.

Tracking hybrid sacrament mtg attendance
Our stake has resumed in-person sacrament mtgs. They are also simulcasting the meeting for those who aren't ready to meet in person due to health concerns. How are you tracking sacrament mtg. attendance in this situation? We can count who is in the room, and we have a total number of remote mtg. con...

How to mark a patriarch as non-functioning
We have two patriarchs in our stake now.
I need to mark our previous patriarch as non-functioning. How do I do that? Is that something I can do as the stake clerk or is that a Salt Lake thing?

Re: How long do we hang on to certain records
It's a new bishop going through files left behind by the last bishop.
I'll recommend he call the legal hotline. Much thanks.

How long do we hang on to certain records
I understand that we keep financial records for three years. What about records for those who receive welfare support? Is that in the same category as a financial record that we keep for three years? Or should we shred those records after an audit? How about documents related to legal proceedings? T...

Re: 2021 curriculum - any way to cancel CFM being sent to a ward?
I ended up calling the distribution dept and after being handed off a few times was able to cancel the order for our YSA ward.

2021 curriculum - any way to cancel CFM being sent to a ward?
Is there a way to opt out of the automatic receipt of 2021 Come Follow Me manuals for each household in our YSA ward?
The YSAs mostly don't use them (digital natives) and have several boxes of 2020's and 2019's that they've never opened.
