Re: MLS Send/Receive Changes (Sync/Synchronize) very slow due to inefficient disk activity

Everybody, thanks for responding. I haven't responded yet as I thought I would try some of the ideas first. @dbapst - Thanks for chiming in. It's nice to hear it might not be all in my head. Perhaps, as scgallafent suggests, this has something to do with update frequency. @johnshaw - Perhaps we are ...

I also am redirected to the applications page but 'Download and install MLS' is not there even when I am logged in as a stake clerk. I am in military district in Japan. Any ideas? Was working for me Sunday (links only appearing when logged in properly) and is working today. My guess is that somehow...

If this is a little dialog box that you usually only get during send/receive, hit the little 'x' in THAT small dialog box's upper-right corner. It's probably just stuck and finished long ago. You may want to restart MLS after that and then try your next send/receive to see if things are able to be u...

Ah... yes, of course. This is why I post here. Thank-you for the suggestion. I'll see if I can find their number in case they're familiar with the practice.

Thanks,

Agreed on all points, and HQ didn't seem to know much about it. Perhaps as another way to tackle this, are there any links to paperwork that may be used between the parties involved (church/missionaries and housing provider) which would define what is given for the housing service explicitly? I'll a...

Service-In-Kind Receipt for Missionary Housing

This is semi-kinda-but-not-really related to https://tech.lds.org/forum/showthread.php?11117-Missionary-Housing-Reimbursement which is about how to actually reimburse for missionary housing. That part has been working well all year from the reimbursed expenses category, missionary housing subcategor...

Apparently the wiki has been updated since the last post in July as it now mentions the correct category.

Sorry, must have missed that this only pertained to the month/quarter/whatever-end statements vs. all things under 'Financial Statements' within MLS. Crawling back into my hole now.

I thought this was a feature, not a bug, at least for most financial stuff like IROPs. The need is present for MLS to store all financial data for three years for legal reasons. Maybe I'm insane, but I'm pretty sure that was in one of the updates sent out with an earlier version of MLS. Some things ...
