Re: Managed switches

I did my first switch last night. The main light stayed orange for a long time, then suddenly went white. It may have been 5 minutes. Could this be because firmware/configuration updates are happening? I ask because I will be involved in installing these switches, in my own Stake next year. Forewar...

Re: Retaining sacrament meeting webcasts using MWC

Unless something has changed in the last few days, I haven’t seen an option to select “ Church Sunday Meeting” in the MWC Dashboard. I select the “Other” option and go from there. Edit: I’ve just scheduled our next Sunday meeting and not only is “Bishopric” (Presiding Authority) now an option, but a...

Re: How to reimage a clerk computer

Thanks for all the updates. I am the STS but this PC was not upgraded to windows 10 during the upgrade period. I believe unless you go through the upgrade process from windows 7 it will not license the key for a fresh install. I can see if the upgrade will take. At this point it will either work or...

Re: Managed switches

Thanks for the clarification. The Church installation guide gives conflicting information about connecting AP's!

Re: How to reimage a clerk computer

Two things come to mind!
1. FM should be thinking about replacing the computer, as it is presumably around 5 years old.
2. Use a W10 image and run the Small Provisioning Tool, to set it up for Clerk use. It would appear you’ve already found the instructions on how to re-image.

Re: Managed switches

I'm guessing you haven't read the installation guide, in the Help Centre>Meeting House Technology>Internet>Meetinghouse Switches. Paraphrasing it mentions no POE injectors to be used after the managed switch. The installation diagrams show connecting an additional managed switch to accommodate addit...

Re: Managed switches

What I understand from reading the various guides/manuals is the maximum number of POE ports available is 4. The Church's guide indicates that an additional managed switch is required, if you have more than 4 AP's. Or have I misunderstood what I've read?

Re: Managed switches

Thank you for the quick reply russellhltn!

Having read the installation guide, in my own building we have 5 AP's. In the first place before the switches are delivered, I'm concerned that without some form of feedback, we might not be sent the correct number of devices for installation.

Re: Managed switches

Does anyone know how the criteria, for the type of switch(s) to be installed, is arrived at?
Does someone (STS?) carry out a pre delivery survey?

Re: Sync and Login Issues

I’m on the beta testing circuit and today it won’t sync. For me this points to server issues. Quite common, especially at weekends!
