Re: End of Webcasting in July 2022: Please transition to Zoom

The WIFI in my Ward building will not allow two simultaneous Zoom meetings. It will max out the Bandwidth and video will cut out every time. Are you disabling the Liahona SSID and using the Lehi SSID only? If you aren’t familiar with this mode of operation, contact your Stake’s Technology Specialis...

Re: New Clerk PC hardware - 2021

These days when most clerk or executive secretary tasks can be done from home anytime during the week, what use cases would require a word processor or spreadsheet program on the clerk computer at all?
If members bring in talks etc to be printed. It helps to have a good word processor available!

Re: Webcast a satellite broadcast?

Things have changed again - satellite broadcasts in North America (at least in the United States and Canada) is going away, and will cease by July of the year 2022 . Also, as I type this, COVID-19 has been a major disruptive event, so check with those local authority, along with where the broadcast...

Re: Liahona Sign-in on Church TV

As a Branch Clerk, I believe that is one of your many callings gleaned from another post on the forum, you should have access to TM which would allow you manage the WAP’s. The Lehi SSID is only visible when there is a password entered and that hasn’t expired. Or am I stating something you are alread...

Or get your STS to enable the Lehi SSID. The password which has a 90 day lifespan. He will know what this is and how to do it. Then on the day, via TM, turn off the Liahona SSID remotely, as and when required!

Re: Liahona Sign-in on Church TV

If I have a need like that, I just plug it into a nearby LAN jack. Hardwired connections don't deal with the splash screen. May I ask why the TV needs to be tied to the internet? Most folks use a personal device linked to the TV instead of the TV getting its own content. Playing the devils advocate...

Re: New Clerk PC hardware - 2021

I'm hoping to side line a machine to become a streaming box - either sending or receiving. :D I think this would be an ideal solution to the missing satellite dish problem. I think the Lenovo M70 series fits that spot just nicely. I've got two being replaced. I don't know for sure, but I strongly s...
