LDS Tools for Windows 10 Desktop Not Signing In

I have seen it on the reviews of the app, but I did not see anything here in the forum, and I have yet to see if there is any work around. Now for the pertinent details: Issue: When signing in, it fails to sign in giving an error message stating, "Sign-In Failed - LDS Tools Services are unavail...

Re: LDS Tools Stake/Out of Unit Calling Need

While I appreciate the answer (I do, no sarcasm being expressed here), I think that it is better said that the church has been working to understand data privacy rights with respect to the needs of those in callings and has been iterating on the approach that has been taken. My wife is also the out ...

LDS Tools Stake/Out of Unit Calling Need

I am currently called to the High Council as well as the Elders Quorum President in our Spanish branch. When I check the roster for the local branch I cannot see any of the children's information (something that is important for an EQ president). It used to be that I had to go to the online version ...

Re: Windows 8.1 update?

Joe,

Thanks for the update. I look forward to seeing the efforts of your hard work. Perhaps one of these days I can get my coding skills up to the task to help in programs like this. Right now, I am just doing C for microcontrollers and only really at a high level hobbiest at that.

Re: Windows 8.1 update?

Is there a projected timeline for this? I do realize that it is an all volunteer project, and that timelines can slip, but for a rom are we looking at days, weeks, or months for the update? Thanks again for the hard work.

Re: Approved HD hardware & software?

Very true about the IP cams, though from my what I can see, much of that delay is in the bandwidth of the network that it is operating on. If the router/network can handle the bandwidth, then the delay will be greatly reduced. The other processes are inherent of the general conversion from analog da...

Re: Approved HD hardware & software?

This angle/view was requested after receiving feedback from both the receiving buildings as well as the stake president looking at a few different zoom and angles to determine which was preferable. As to the zoom and pan, we only have the handheld remote for the operation of the camera. With the con...

Re: Approved HD hardware & software?

Sorry, now that I am more awake, I do realize that I was correct to call it a 480 line camera. The 480 lines refers to the fact that there are 480 lines that run horizontally. Each of these lines is 640 pixels long. Hence the 480 vertical lines refers to the fact that the vertical axis is 480 lines ...

Re: Approved HD hardware & software?

Sorry, you may be correct, but the Sony camera in its specs describes itself as a 470 line vertical camera. There is no mention of horizontal resolution. Though most old CRT's did a horizontal scan, so I am not sure why they would list vertical lines. In light of that, I should have been saying came...

Re: Approved HD hardware & software?

While I understand well that there are ways to make 480 line resolution video look better, I would completely disagree with the statement that 1080p will not add noticeable improvements to the broadcast. On a 120" wide screen (actual width, not diagonal) a 480 line projector will have a pixel w...
