Re: Sharing out experience with Virtual Sacrament Meeting Broadcasts

Thanks for writing. here is the URL for the Box folder: [redacted] [Moderator note: Due to exposing RTMP credentials for upcoming webcasts, you'll need to send a Private Message to dbaresrc to receive the link.] Here's what you'll see in there: There are 3 .txt files with web conference linking cod...

Re: Changes to Webcast buffering times

I can see the overlap policy being an issue with Terradek buildings but what about those using zoom integration? For example, in a building there is a request to broadcast two events, one from 9:00 to 10:00 the other from 10:15 to 11:15. The 9 to 10 is not an issue. However, scheduling the second ev...

Re: Changes to Webcast buffering times

Something to consider for buildings with tight schedules and using a single Teradek, just schedule one long meeting for the building for the day. (i.e. 'Stake Center Wards Sacrament Meeting' instead of '1st Ward Sacrament Meeting' followed by '2nd Ward Sacrament Meeting') The other issue is that it...

Re: Single email address for multiple virtual meeting accounts

@dbaresrc, I was wondering about this potential issue. If I delete the account in the church system, does that mean all the meetings and webinars that were already scheduled will get deleted? Or if I remove it from the Church system and then readd it, will it still have the already setup meetings? ...

Re: Zoom Account for Bishops and Leaders

As you know, this was released yesterday. At least some of the announcements were received yesterday. here are a few highlights from testing we did earlier in the week. These accounts support both meeting (full interactivity) and webinar (one-way) activities. You can choose which type of activity su...

Re: Single email address for multiple virtual meeting accounts

This is what we've done for our accounts when we were beta testing this. It's really nice and simple. In our case we have zoom accounts with lvtxstake+sacmtg@.. lvtxstake+fm1@.. lvtxstake+fm2@.. etc. All messages come to the base lvtxstake@gmail account which I control. I set the passwords for the Z...

Re: Having to add Macs to NoSplash

I wonder if it's related to the version of MacOS they're running? I'm on 10.15.7 (Catalina) and have never had a problem, Including last night when I was working an issue in our Stake Center.

Re: Managed Switch Install - Before and after pictures

If you don't mind, I put my pictures in too. :D Originally, all our connections came through the patch panel then to the unmanaged switches on either side. With the new switches, we couldn't keep this setup. The rest of the wall is full of electrical circuit breaker boxes and there wasn't enough roo...

Thanks for all the replies. Looks like I need to do some homework . . . . and get facilities involved.
