Re: How to stop YT from recording / posting live streams?
I'm curious what happens if a stream is deleted while someone is watching it? Are they allowed to complete it, or are they cut off? I'm thinking about someone who started late and is now 5 minutes behind "live". Not a problem for as we disable DVR in the event. Viewers are forced to watch...

How to stop YT from recording / posting live streams?
I'm testing and playing with YTL streaming. We have a channel and are able to stream meetings to it with Vidiu-X as well as Wirecast. When each stream ends, I'm seeing that a recording of the stream is posted to the channel. Since the Church guidance is NOT to record the meetings, I'm trying to figu...

YT Live playback question, block recommended videos??
With the very, very sad announcement of the end of the Church system, we're looking at YTLive as a potential replacement. I created a channel for the stake and have done one or two tests through it. The problem / question I have is how can I get rid of the "recommended" videos to the side ...

Ministering visit tracking software
Our stake president wants to track ministering visits monthly. He wants to see total number of visits AND the details as well by ward: Bro N / Bro O assigned to Fam A & Fam B, only Fam A visited. Or perhaps these families assigned to these companionships were missed. This is in addition to the q...

Re: More Permanent Setup for Sacrament Meeting Broadcasts
In our stake, I've received the same mandate and have been done quite a bit of research on options. I'm actually at a point where I've put together a preliminary report on options. When it's done, I'll send it to you via PM. Readers Digest version -- PTZOptics NDI camera into ?? software using ?? O/...

Mac / Win, HW encoding - OBS, Wirecast, Vmix
I'm trying to sift the wheat from the chafe on a question or two. Anyone know if OBS on Mac (Intel not M1) or Win leverages the discrete video card for encoding a stream? I've heard some people say "no" for Mac, others yes. If no, then the encoding workload is pushed to the main CPU. If yo...

Thanks for writing. here is the URL for the Box folder: [redacted] [Moderator note: Due to exposing RTMP credentials for upcoming webcasts, you'll need to send a Private Message to dbaresrc to receive the link.] Here's what you'll see in there: There are 3 .txt files with web conference linking cod...

Re: Changes to Webcast buffering times
I can see the overlap policy being an issue with Terradek buildings but what about those using zoom integration? For example, in a building there is a request to broadcast two events, one from 9:00 to 10:00 the other from 10:15 to 11:15. The 9 to 10 is not an issue. However, scheduling the second ev...

Re: Changes to Webcast buffering times
Something to consider for buildings with tight schedules and using a single Teradek, just schedule one long meeting for the building for the day. (i.e. 'Stake Center Wards Sacrament Meeting' instead of '1st Ward Sacrament Meeting' followed by '2nd Ward Sacrament Meeting') The other issue is that it...
