Re: Hiding Do Not Contacts

I'm solving something else, but hopefully folks following this thread have figured out that the Church's Tools app' now allows clerks to help members with privacy settings. The website Ward Directory and Map only allows me to edit my personal and family privacy. I have to go to the Tools app' to edi...

Re: End of Year Tax Statements

Tax records for deceased members have been consistently distributed to wards I've served in. A relatively new condition that might affect distribution would be if the deceased member chose to receive statements via their Church web account instead of their unit printing them. Over the years I've dis...

Re: End of Year Tax Statements

We've been encouraging members to make the switch regarding their statements, and a few have. Maybe more have during 2020. We'll include another note of encouragement with statements we mail this year. Our unit has a higher median age which can affect rate of change, though they were quick to adopt ...

Re: End of Year Tax Statements

This is mostly a commentary with some hope of value for newer clerks, or maybe finance system reviews. For 2018 and 2019 tax years my experience was that official tax statements were finally available on or after the last Sunday in January. If on the last Sunday it was after our meeting block. This ...

Re: Online Store unit orders

If you are asking about the process, see my Jan. 2020 post. It's quite similar to major online vendors. I'm pretty sure options for payment are limited by Church calling. As a clerk I have the payment option to charge to our ward. For personal purchases I pay with my credit or debit card.

Re: Online Store unit orders

If this issue hasn't been resolved, there should be a small drop-down box titled "Bill To" or something similar to that. It should appear after choosing delivery address and maybe another thing or two, but before submitting an order. Choose "Bill to Unit" or some similar verbiage...

Re: Lds tools won't let me sign in

I've appreciated the resource these forums provide, and they remain a great tool. Answers to more than a couple strange PC problems have come from here, as well as insights on unit administration. Folks I'm able to help kind-of think of me as having super powers. In brief, many thanks to the moderat...

Re: Lds tools won't let me sign in

Just wondering if sync service problems have been solved. A ward member recently downloaded Member Tools and has been trying to log-in and set it up, but gets a check back later message with every attempt.

Re: Donations from ward fund raisers

Yep. My plans include consolidating instruction and information on fundraisers to share with current and future leaders, and I need perspective to do so. This thread and another on fundraisers have significantly shortened my education. Thanks to all who participate in this forum.

Re: Donations from ward fund raisers

Tying income to youth who collect it is not an option for us, and associating direct donations certainly makes sense. I guess I'm wondering about monies when we don't know who the person or persons are. As examples, dinner attendees pay cash 'at the door' and notes of who they were are lacking, or c...
