I would also like a church provided calling action form. Our stake has been using home grown paper forms with varying degrees of success. We are currently trying to develop on electronic version but lack the skills and licenses to software to do what we would really like. Our stake president would l...

How to get Webcast Communicator repaired?

How do I get our Webcast Communicator repaired? Our line-in died about 10 minutes into our broadcast. About 2 minutes prior to the end of the broadcast we found a work around by using the microphone input jack. The sound quality was okay, which surprised me, but at least it worked. Who do I contact ...

Thanks for all of the fast feedback. I agree that the need for recording is diminishing over time, and I was pleasantly surprised that the church posted the WWL training on-line (as well as handbook 2), but the stake presidency has been wanting this capability for some time - so I just ordered the M...

How to record satellite broadcasts in this digital world?

Our stake presidency has asked me to replace our old VHS VCR with a DVD recorder so we can record church satellite broadcasts directly to DVD. A few years ago this would have been fairly straight forward, but in today's all digital world I am not sure there is a good solution available at a reasonab...

While it will take longer to securely scrub the whole hard drive, it covers all the bases and takes less effort. I don't get the "takes less effort" part. Don't I have to remove the drive from the computer and install it as a second drive on another computer? That seems like a lot of effort to me. ...

Instructions for scrubing hard drive?

We just replaced all of the computers in the stake. I now need to scrub the hard drives on the old computers before turning them back in to the FM group. I have downloaded the the two church eraser applications (16-bit and 32-bit). How do I use the tool? I assume I should use the 32-bit version sinc...

Webcast "link failure"

During our last stake webcast we experienced three link failures that required me to reboot the communicator. I have not been able to find documentation that indicates what could cause a link failure. Is it a failure in the communicator itself? Or is it a problem with our Internet connection?

Proceedure to upgrade computers?

Our stake just received our 5-year computer refresh. Are there any instructions on how to set up the new computers and migrate data from the older ones? Am I supposed to rebuild the hard drive using the old Desktop 5.5 CD? Or should I go with the OS that came with the new computer? A step-by-step se...
