Re: Indexing App
I would use the indexing app on my iPhone if it were available. It could really help increase the amount of genealogy and indexing done worldwide if an app was available for phones and tablets. Browser-based indexing has been available since early 2017. I doubt a separate app will be provided, so i...

Re: UPDATING ENDLESSLY
I am using the beta version, but have a family member who is not, as far as I know (I will find out for sure), who experienced the same issue. It is now resolved after uninstalling and reinstalling a second time.

Re: UPDATING ENDLESSLY
I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. I did find a temporary workaround, though. I opened Chrome, navigated to www.lds.org, searched for a talk, and got the option to open in the Gospel Library app. Then I was able to navigate as normal, though backing out completely left Gospel Li...

Re: Apple TV use for Sunday Lessons
There are a number of devices that accomplish the same purpose. Chromecast works well for Android devices, or so I've heard. Several, including the Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter, work with Windows devices. If one has a laptop or tablet with an HDMI connection, then that can be used to connect d...

Re: Disable Windows Defender and Windows Firewall
In my experience, Windows Defender is usually disabled when another security program is installed. I have never found it necessary to uninstall it. In fact, I don't think it is even in the program list (Programs and Features), at least not by itself. I can't recall the exact menu within Windows Defe...

Re: Sync Between Devices
If you sign in to the app with your LDS Account, you can sync bookmarks across devices. A device must be connected to the internet either through wi-fi or cellular to sync.

Re: Liahona listed as Scripture
My Gospel Library (Android) updated on Friday and when I just checked the location of the Liahona today it is listed in the opening menu and not as an item under the Scriptures menu item. I do not see a Magazines menu item. Rather each magazine available is listed in the opening menu. In List Mode,...

Re: non members accesing church Wifi.
It is unfortunate, but "people enjoy using it" isn't necessarily a good enough reason to justify open WiFi for everybody. The official uses of the church come first and running into bandwidth problems that interrupt broadcasts because people enjoy being able to download conference talks o...

Re: Playing a Video Presentation in Class
There is another way not mentioned on that page. While it may not be available for everyone, if you have a USB connection on a TV, you can also use a USB flash drive to play video. Just download the video to the flash drive, plug it into the TV, and select the USB input.

Re: A pretty face doesn't improve usability
It is possible to use List Mode in the new version (3.0.1.2) of Gospel Library. I also find that hiding items I haven't downloaded except when I actually want to download something makes navigation easier. If you regularly switch from one item to another, such as the Old Testament to The Book of Mor...
