Prior to my original post, I saw the boundary realignment docs and followed them by logging into ward A, moving 1 family to the new ward/unit and performed a send/receive. I then logged into the new ward's mls and did a send/receive but there's still no membership data. Is there a lag? In fact, the ...

Setup New Ward In MLS

Our Stake just created a new ward. I have the unit number. I installed MLS and entered the unit number and did a send/receive but there's no membership data. Our Stake realigned our Stake boundary from 3 wards to now a 4th, new ward. How do I get the membership records from the other 3 wards that no...

Regional Stake Conference Broadcast

This Sunday, September 12, 2010 we are having a regional stake broadcast sent via a Satellite feed. Our Stake is in Heber City and the broadcast I believe is coming from the Marriott center at BYU. Is there going to be an Internet feed as well and if so what would the stream URL be? Who could I cont...

RE: webcast communicator, must be on church recognized address

Michael, Unless something has changed recently, I have been able to start the communicator and receive the stream from home and other non-church locations without problems. Make sure you are using the appropriate web address to receive the broadcast: http://stream.lds.org/<config_unit_number>-<confi...

I have been investigating this as well, the EVID70 looks very decent although I have been trying to find a cheaper controller than this one http://picturephone.com/products/remotes/sony_rm_br300.html (It seems a little overkill) Anyone out there use the EVID70? Anyone find a cheaper PTZ controller?...

We just placed on order for a DataVideo SE-500 video mixer. I'll provide additional feedback after it arrives and after I have a chance to use it. I did lots of research on video mixers and I picked this up new for $999.

RE: Similiar Issue

When I used the beta kit for our last Stake Conference, I had similar issues. The communicator thought it was "online" and broadcasting but the receivers (actually a laptop in another ward building) lost connection just like you did. This issue (I believe) was the Cisco ASA firewall... I n...

YouTube Is Now Blocked On Extended Access

Our Stake and Ward buildings are all set to the extended firewall settings (versus restricted). Until just a week or two ago, YouTube was permitted and our Stake YW Presidency used it extensively during Ward Conferences and such. Additionally, the Church has setup a channel on YouTube. However, the ...

RE: Video Cameras

When I borrowed the church's webcast technology kit last year (when it was still in beta) they sent me the Sony EVI-D70, which worked quite well. It was a remote control PTZ camera with preset capabilities and steady/slow zoom in/out. The only negative is that it doesn't have a view finder so you ha...
