How to record previous priesthood ordination

In February, a new convert was ordained a priest in the Aaronic Priesthood. While holding that office, he ordained another new member. Neither ordination was recorded because the branch clerk wasn't functioning. The first convert has recently been ordained an elder. When I try to record the Aaronic ...

Custom locations deleted when ward divided?

How does new LDS Maps handle custom locations when a ward is divided? Old LDS maps would forget custom locations when a member moved from one ward to another, or the address was changed. When a ward is divided, everyone in the new ward would lose the custom location. Since everyone in our ward in Th...

Re: How can I place an unverified household?

I am working with a ward in Thailand, so county maps don't exist. We use Google maps to approximate where members live since every member begins as unmapped. There is no geocoding of addresses to get an approximate address the way it works in my home ward in Canada.

How can I place an unverified household?

How can I change a location from unmapped to unverified? I could do this with the classic LDS Maps where I had the option to specify if the location was exact or approximate after I marked the location on the map. In the new LDS Maps, when I mark the location of the "unmapped" household on...

Problem with pasted latitude/longitude

In Thailand, there are no unverified locations. Any change in address causes the member's home to revert to unmapped status. We have made an effort to map, at least the approximate location, of most families in several units. I was working with a ward clerk here in Thailand last week. I showed him h...

Re: Home locations lost in Thailand ward (International geocoding problem)

Good idea. I did't add a link to this thread. Is there a better way than just sending new feedback with this link and ask them to link it to my previous feedback?

Re: Home locations lost in Thailand ward (International geocoding problem)

Thanks for the suggestion. I have submitted this as feedback. As well, I don't know if anyone else will follow or read this thread, but I want to refocus attention on essential aspects of my original post. It's not about someone locating a household when moving members in or out of a unit. It is abo...

Re: Home locations lost in Thailand ward (International geocoding problem)

The person moving the records may not be ready to deal with the physical location. In fact, the person handling the maps may not be the one handling records. I'd settle for a simple check box "This is not a different location, only a correction." If checked, it would not change a verified...

Home locations lost in Thailand ward (International geocoding problem)

As MLS missionaries in Thailand during 2013, I was surprised to find that LDS Maps had no mapping information for any of the members in our branch. This made it difficult for missionaries, leaders, home teachers, and visiting teachers to locate and minister to members. The missionaries had large map...

Re: New Ward - all families have unverified locations

I don't know if anyone will see a reply posted so long after the previous reply, but I'll try posting here and in a new thread, also. When a boundary change like this is made, does LDS Maps forget custom locations where the clerk has moved a household? Or does it just change the flag from verified t...
