Re: MLS has been disabled by the Church

Since the Church says don't use MLS that should be the end of the story. Any anecdotal examples otherwise are contrary to our very clear and precise instructions and risk creating problems for all concerned. I tend to agree. To be fair, the Church also says to instead use a system that has been pre...

Re: LCR not working 3/26/22

Same for us this morning (Eastern time). Can log into LCR fine, but going to the Finance section immediately gives an error message. It looks like they HAVE finally fixed the error text though -- instead of showing "error.text" where it clouldn't pull the actual error text, it now displays...

Re: Update that forbids access to LCR at the website?

Just to add another data point... I am a Bishopric member (and also Asst. Ward Clerk) and went to do tithing donations this morning and got the same error. It would not let me into the Donations section. I refreshed several times with no luck. I then logged out and immediately logged back in and wen...

Re: LCR Check approvals

Agreed -- but it still just feels really odd to me to go "Oh, you SAY that you have a paper receipt? Then go ahead and print a check whenever you want. I'll trust you on that." -- but then go "Oh, you've actually UPLOADED a receipt to PROVE that you have it? Then, sorry, you'll have t...

Re: When doing Expenses -- why are Payment Type and Payee backwards?

I submitted this as Feedback on the page a couple days ago -- today they said thanks and that they'd pass it along... We'll see if this changes in the future. Just seems so weird to me that it is designed as it is...

Re: LCR Check approvals

To clarify - No payments are made by cheques, we no longer have any method to issue cheques. As long as we have the bank account details of the third party, then we can pay Fast Offerings. We are encouraged not to pay any funds directly to the FO beneficiary, but directly to the organisation concer...

Re: LCR Check approvals

I don't know of any statement anywhere that says using physical receipts with checks is discouraged or that uploading receipts is preferred. Interesting -- I assumed it was a National thing. We have been pushed by our Stake and from Auditors for the past several audits to move to digital receipts o...

When doing Expenses -- why are Payment Type and Payee backwards?

So, this has bugged me ever since ACH transfer became a payment option... Why does it first ask why TYPE of payment to make (check or ACH) and only AFTER that ask you who the Payee is? (And then complain if you selected ACH and the Payee doesn't accept that.) It just seems like these are backwards. ...

Re: LCR Check approvals

So, I feel like this got off-track a bit from the original intent. Lots of discussion about who is allowed to sign the checks -- and I agree that at least one needs to be a Bishopric member. However, I think the main point that OP was making is still valid and is an issue. I came to the forum today ...

Re: 2 Adults needed for car travel to Stake Dances or other events?

Good to have confirmation of what I was told by Risk Management in 2019 (see above). I am curious -- was there something else referenced before that? I am curious what they are referring to by "here is an excerpt from a Q&A that may be helpful"? I'd like to see that original Q&A --...
