Re: IP based Stake Conference solution

I've been reading and watching videos on NDI. If we use NDI cameras (encode), and we use the plug-in for OBS to decode. Can we use something like this https://www.amazon.com/Extender-Splitter-Single-Remote-Management/dp/B07B54HCCX/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=HDMI%2Bvideo%2Bdistribution%2Blong%2...

Re: OBS vs ATEM or both?

Thanks for the discussion and opinions. Our stake is rather large. North to South is about 2.5 hours and east to west is about 2 hours apart. We have had a 3 camera setup for many years. Prior to that, we used only one camera. Our leaders have always felt that having a good broadcast for those who c...

CalS201 - Thank you for the Replay. That is an interesting approach. It sounds like you figured out how to streamline your broadcast. You have given me some good advice which has given me another approach. I have Follow-up questions. 1. I have 1 Ethernet Cable available. The other has the connector ...

Re: OBS vs ATEM or both?

Spencerto - Thank you for the information. I have a few questions. 1. What kind of computer do you have, specs? Does the 4 HDMI capture card use a lot of CPU/RAM? 2. What are you using to display your cameras? Video card and # of Displays? 4. What version of VMix do you have? 5. What features in vMi...

Re: IP based Stake Conference solution

Thanks for all the information. We currently have 2 Cat 6 Ethernet cable and 1 RG6? cable run to each camera location. One Ethernet cable has been removed the connectors are using the wiring for RS232 to control our PTZ cameras. The Ethernet cable and Coxial cable is not used. It sounds like we can ...

OBS vs ATEM or both?

I have some questions for those who use OBS or ATEM or both? We are getting ready to reconfigure our setup. 1. 3 Cameras (probably HDMI). I don't know if there is a 3 port HDMI capture card for computers? so this makes me think I should just connect directly to an ATEM? If there are 3 port HDMI vide...

Re: IP based Stake Conference solution

We are currently using Sony DVI70 cameras and have it tied in the church's video distribution device. We have the main project in the chapel that display on the wall behind the speaker. We have 2 projectors in the cultural hall, and a television in both the RS and Primary room. We do not see any del...

IP based Stake Conference solution

We are trying to switch to a network-based broadcast for Stake Conference. We will have IP Cameras, OBS, IP-based PTZ controller, POE Network switch. This is great for streaming to the church's broadcast system. Question: How do we push this video in real-time back to the Overflow TVs and Projectors...

Re: Help with Translation equipment

Are you telling me I don't need the little portable transmitter with the antenna on it? The receivers will pick up the transmission from the building? What is that little unit for then? I had that plugged in the whole time. So if I unplug that box, I should be able to pick up audio from the receiver...
