Re: Cannot access main Church website...?
I just came to report the same problem. Happens across multiple devices in multiple locations. First, I figured out it has something to do with query parameters in the URL. URLs that load well: https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/ https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/?lang=eng URLs that don't load: h...

Re: Gospel Library App for Mac
The new "Gospel Library Online" language pages are considered "released" – so definitely send feedback about things that aren't working quite right – but they're not at a Gospel Library level yet in terms of features. For example, as of today you can only view annotations (not c...

Re: Quality of video from Sony HDR-CX240
The camera's a little misleading on the zoom. There's a label on the top of it that says 54x zoom but the technical specs say it's only 27x optical zoom. The other 27 is "Clear Image Zoom". Either way, the digital zoom was disabled.

Re: Quality of video from Sony HDR-CX240
Precisely what artifacts are you referring to? I watched your link at full screen and didn't notice what I'd call pixeling. What I saw was mushy color and some color noise. I'd say a combination of low lighting (typical of LDS chapels) and perhaps some aggressive JPEG compression. Thanks. I wasn't ...

Re: Quality of video from Sony HDR-CX240
I should add that the camera is set to record at 1080i while we're streaming to YouTube at 720p.

Quality of video from Sony HDR-CX240
The quality of video from the Sony HDR CX240 is a little disappointing. We can get 1080p video but it's a little pixelated or has lots of artifacts. You can see it one a test stream from YouTube we recorded last night. Is this because it's zoomed in so far? Or are the artifacts caused by processing?...

Re: First new webcast results
I started the webcast during the buffer period around 8:15. I didn't have a chance to check it until 8:45, at which point I noticed that it was just a black screen. The stats showed that the server was receiving the stream, but that no clients were connected. I tried with two computers at two diffe...

Re: Receiving site Browsers
The media player for the new broadcasting system uses Silverlight. Silverlight uses the NPAPI which is now disabled by default in Chrome. Older versions of IE should work though.
