Re: Webcast end of life question.

Looks like the church announced in an official letter that it is ending support for the Webcast system in July 2022. We just had the FM group install a camera and microphone system in the Stake Center that goes to a Teradek in a technology closet. It’s a great setup, for the Webcast platform. I am n...

Re: Issues broadcasting with Webcast and Teradek

I had not heard about not using the Webcast system for Sacrament meetings. Thank you, I will look into that. I did notice when setting up a meeting they have you choose the type of meeting, and “Sacrament” is one of the options, so I figured it was okay.

Issues broadcasting with Webcast and Teradek

Our Stake Center recently had a camera installed, so we can use the Teradek and the church's webcast system to broadcast meetings. We are testing using recurring meetings to broadcast Sacrament meetings. I have run into a few issues, and am wondering if there are any suggestions. 1. Teradek is no lo...

Re: Zoom Webinar 500 Participant Limit Increase?

We have a Zoom account provided by the church (they recently started enabling Stake/Ward accounts). So the account in general is managed by the church. We have Stake Conference next weekend, and I am concerned we may have more than 500 participants on the webinar. I would like to test that the strea...

Re: Can't Transfer Zoom License to Church Account

I have tried to call Zoom about this issue, but they are only accepting calls from people with a pro account. I don’t have a pro account number to get past their dial board. Do you have a more direct phone number to use?
Thank you

Re: Church provides a new Zoom Account to local units

I am getting the “Cannot create Zoom account “ error on several email addresses, and at least one is a paid account.
When I tried an email address with a free zoom account on it, there was no error.

Re: Church provides a new Zoom Account to local units

Any help you can provide around the 500 error “Cannot create Zoom account “ would be appreciated. I was able to set up two units. Whenever I try the third I get this error, regardless of email address or unit.
If I remove a unit, I can add it back again. But the third unit fails with this error.

Re: Church provides a new Zoom Account to local units

I am getting the same error that it cannot create a Zoom account. Happens for all units and email addresses I try to use, after I setup the first two units.

Re: Basics of Streaming Sacrament Meetings with Reference Table

In the letter sent from the church, I believe it mentions being able to use the Church Webcast platform using a mobile device as the source. I have not seen references to this, what are they referring to? The only way I am aware of to use the Church Webcast is via the Teradeks, and buying these and ...

Shared Teradeks (Broadcasts from a common location)

In the new Webcast 3.0 environment, we can auto configure Teradeks for broadcasting. As I understand it, we are linking the Teradek to our Stakes Webcast portal, so it can download and know about broadcasts and events (auto start, etc) Our Stake always broadcasts from the Tabernacle, and this facili...
