Fantastic Article... sadly I have played World of Warcraft off and on for the last 5 years (minus the two I was on my mission). I must say that if not treated as a "dessert" it can become very addicting and life-consuming. It finally became a treat/reward for finishing all my college papers or after...

Hey Mike, I have now downloaded (from my MSDN) and installed the Windows 7 RTM Ultimate edition (x86) and I have the same issues as before. I can run 6 different TV stations archieved and live streaming which run in a combination of Flash and Windows Media Players but I cannot run anything with Mov...

Like Russell mentioned ealier, I also would have concerns regarding the vulnerability of the data on line like that. Maybe I'm not following 120% but what would the difference be between having that information online and using online banking during the month? if you are talking about the sensi...

Uh, I don't get it. Currently, if I visit a ward and make a donation, the ward processing my check (or cash) doesn't have my membership number or LDS Access account to associate my locally processed donation with my account. if you sign up for an LDS account you can tie it to your MRN, this (at thi...

That may be fine in most cases, but what about someone who visits a ward for only 2 months (I believe there's still a 3 month rule for moving membership records)? How does "missing" donations get resolved? If this was associated with LDS Account it would be reflected on that account no matter what ...

I like the idea in principle. (Would like even better the idea of allowing people to pay their tithing and other donations online and have that transaction propagate to the ward accounting in MLS.) If you want to write about this topic, here is the Link to the new thread. :) http://tech.lds.org/for...

I-tithe???

So there are many online transaction companies (including all banks). The Church has programs like MLS and CFIS, How hard would it be for the church to make online tithing available to members? I mean, its definitely a step into the future but i find it vary inconvenient as a college student, gettin...

I've found it very nice to connect my Nokia XpressMusic to my laptop with the cable that it came with when I got it, run the Nokia software, and send mass SMS about Temple trips, Ward activities, etc. It saves time (of calling everyone, visiting everyone) and money (designing paper flyers and making...
