Re: Out of Ward Member

Thank you, folks! You never disappoint. The sister attends our ward because she is divorced and she and her ex-husband live in the same ward. She's not comfortable attending the same ward as the him, and she once lived in our ward. So the Stake President gave her permission to attend here. If that r...

Out of Ward Member

Okay, Member Tools experts, help me out with this one. You folks are the best!! We have a sister who attends our ward with the Stake President's approval. Our membership clerk has twice added her into our database, and twice her record has been removed somehow after 2-3 weeks. She currently has a st...

Re: "Send a Message" Function on LCR

Did you try the shift-key + enter key instead of a just an enter? You will need to remove the enter first, so that everything is on one line and then do a shift-enter where you want the line break to be. Do a test and just send an email to just yourself to see what it looks like. Well, @chriswoodut...

Re: "Send a Message" Function on LCR

@chriswoodut: I just sent a message to my ward. I signed the letter with my name and calling, and the blank line was between them. Any other thoughts on how I can remove it, or change the line spacing for the enter key to a single line?? Thanks!

Re: "Send a Message" Function on LCR

I've noticed that extra line looks right when the email is received. Some editors will recognize a shift-key-enter to not add that extra space. Hoo boy, just a clear sign that I may type the messages but I don't read them after they're received. Once again, thanks for the assistance. This group kee...

Re: "Send a Message" Function on LCR

@scgallafent and @russellhltn, I had an opportunity to talk with the ward membership clerk on Sunday and he uncovered the reason why the sister who attends our ward but lives in another ward wasn't able to be sent emails from our ward. I never would have thought of this, so I'm REALLY glad I caught ...

Re: "Send a Message" Function on LCR

@scgallafent - I’ll take some screenshots from LDS Tools. It’ll clearly show that her email address is on her record in our ward, but the email icon (the envelope) isn’t displayed when I send an email through LCR. I’ll take care of tomorrow.

Re: "Send a Message" Function on LCR

@russellhltn, thank you. The sister was recently called to a position in Ward B and I suspect our clerk may have used the out-of-unit calling function. When I spoke with the sister yesterday she was quite surprised that her record was in Ward B, too. From your reply, if the sister wants to get email...

Re: "Send a Message" Function on LCR

Hello, I had a sister approach me yesterday with a perplexing issue involving the Send A Message function. I’m the Program Coordinator in our ward (also the EQ Secretary), and I send out the Sunday program on Saturday evening. This sister is divorced and has her records in Ward A. However, since her...
