Tithing history

I'd like to see my tithing history under my unit login. I would use it mostly for tax purposes. It was a bit of a pain contacting the other two wards I lived in last year to get tax information.

uh, proprietary encryption?

The only problem is that the church encrypted data stream that MLS uses to send updates, could potentially be hacked and then false information could be uploaded to the servers, effectively ruining the entire chruch database. I support some of the projects but not all for the reasons of privacy and...

Too bad the church doesn't trust memebers to update their own data...

I just found that the information that you registered with on the lds.org ward website, (address, phone, etc) (your profile info) does not affect (except your e-mail) what appears in the ward directory. Was this suppose to be the case? If so why is it there at all since it just duplicates informati...

Could the pictures from the membership directory be viewed in the leadership directory so we can put faces with callings? 2. Could the email options under the leadership directory be c...

personal genealogy? bah

The value that I see the new FamilySearch offering is to jump start your pedigree so that you don't have to start with an empty database structure. Even though this data probably needs to be tweaked to be sure that it has the correct information and duplicates are handled correctly, this seems like...

wiki is more important than space

I think many missing the point, here, though. Storage for name hierarchy is nice, but not sufficient. People will use the website when it works like a Wiki. In other words, not only do we want a hierarchy of all 20 billion people who've inhabited the earth in the past 6k years, we want a nice write-...
