Re: Virtual best practices during quarantine

We are just starting. We have had one full worship service. We had congregational music, everyone muted, words and music, we had three speakers, announcements , business and yes we did have a 5 min pause for sacrament.

How about specific zoom activities?

Re: Virtual best practices during quarantine

Our primary music leader started doing a version of the masked singer with some of the leaders being singers of primary songs Along with clues. She edits the video and posts it on the ward Facebook page.

Re: Virtual best practices during quarantine

As I understand it, Zoom still has the 40 minute warning, but the meetings themselves are not limited. Just ignore the warning (for now). The first time, yes. The second time you try it, when the 40 minutes arrive, zap. Your meeting ends. At least that is what happens to me. I decided if I really n...

Re: Virtual best practices during quarantine

Our area authority has essentially opened up the options with the caution that what works for one unit is not necessarily what another unit needs and to not compare. For a long time our Bishop was very set on allowing members to focus on the “home centered” direction, but lately he is venturing into...

Re: Virtual best practices during quarantine

I’m going to pass some of that along. Our ward is having its first ward meeting via zoom Sunday but my brothers ward has been having them from the start of this thing. His Stake bought a couple of large capacity zoom accounts, they have now expanded to 4. He conducts from his study at home and they ...

Virtual best practices during quarantine

Our Bishopric is interested in doing some benchmarking and getting input regarding virtual meetings and youth activities. What are some best practices related to running a virtual ward sacrament meeting (without the sacrament) using a tool such as zoom. What are other units doing to keep the primary...

Re: LCR - mailing of ministering routes

I’d suggest that “given to ministering brothers and sisters.” is done verbally during an interview, at least that’s how our Stake president wants it.

Re: LCR - mailing of ministering routes

Our Stake President expressly said he did not want ministering assignments handed out. This is not Home Teaching he said. It is ministering and reporting. Assignments are organized on paper but communicated in person during an interview. In these times interviews are easier than ever. Text or pick u...

Virtual Mother’s Day program

Considering options for a virtual Mother’s Day program. It will be simple to have members/children record short messages and edit them together, but I’ve not figured out the primary singing thing. I can edit but I move limits the number of picture in picture boxes to four. I was also thinking of pre...

Re: Where is the Youth Protection Training Report?

It is possible to view the training without being signed in. However a person has to be signed in before starting the training in order for the completion to be recorded.
