Re: Ward took too long to activate account, cannot remove and get new license

Yes I used that link back in December to try to get an account merged that didn't work using the automatic licensing system. The merge might have actually happened, and an e-mail with activation instructions sent, but the ward didn't click on it for whatever reason, so that's why I'm in the spot I'm...

Re: Ward took too long to activate account, cannot remove and get new license

Okay. I've used the feedback link twice. I'll also send an e-mail.

Ward took too long to activate account, cannot remove and get new license

I have two wards that took too long to click on the e-mailed link to activate their accounts. The link comes up in the browser and says it has expired (it lasts for 30 days apparently). I tried to remove them from the meet page and then re-request the licenses, but I'm getting an error from the chur...

Re: Simulcast Stake Conference

Thanks for posting about that device. I wish I'd seen it a few weeks ago! I bought a bunch of similar-priced encoders for our wards, but this one would have been better. After the church Webcast system completely failed for us on Sunday for a special stake-wide broadcast with the local Area Authorit...

Re: Church provides a new Zoom Account to local units

One unit reported to me that a feature normally available in paid accounts is not accessible in their Church zoom account and the page says to contact their Zoom account administrator to enable it. Who is the administrator? Any way to enable this? Has to do with scheduling using a third party schedu...

Re: Simulcast Stake Conference

Last conference about half chose to watch on the church system and half on youtube. About 300 connections on each. From what I've heard the experience people had was pretty good on both systems with a slight preference for youtube. The church system has improved a lot in the last year or so. Youtube...

Re: Transfer Local Unit Zoom account to General Church account

So far I've had zero luck using email addresses associated with existing accounts, paid or otherwise. In some cases the wards changed their zoom account email addresses on their paid accounts so I could sign them up for church accounts using their preferred email addresses. So now the paid email add...

Re: Simulcast Stake Conference

Correct. We are using the Teradek Vidiu to push directly to the Church's webcasting system in the normal way. Then I use ffmpeg to pull that stream down from the church backend and copy it to youtube. The RTMP url for the church's back end is the same as the address that is listed on the portal unde...

Re: Simulcast Stake Conference

I discovered that I can simulcast to both the church webcasting system and youtube using ffmpeg to copy the rtmp stream from the church backend to youtube. I run this on my personal virtual private server, so it uses no extra building bandwidth whatsoever (and I have plenty of vps bandwidth). ffmpeg...

Re: Noise gate in chapel sound system sounds terrible over broadcasts

I'd think we'd see a few more posts if that was the normal situation. I've seen this in my building also, but I didn't realize what was going on until I saw this post. So I have a hunch it happens far more often than thought. I've noticed this problem quite often when one of the stake presidency sp...
