Re: Newsletter going away???
We used the newsletter as our Ward "website". We used it not only as a repository, but also had Ward history information, photos, links to videos and recordings of meetings, reminders of upcoming events (i.e., Trek), and wished we had a way to notify subscribers that new information was po...

Re: Newsletter going away???
Good points. I think it was underutilized for several reasons. 1) Training (it had alot of capabilities, but not many took the time or received training to know how to use them) 2) Reliability (it had some quirks that were never quite ironed out) 3) Notifications (it had no way to notify someone if ...

Re: Newsletter going away???
Exactly! If the newletter had a push feature where you could subscribe to updates via e-mail, I think it would have been much more popular. It was also quite buggy. I remember going through weeks at a time where it didn't work correctly, and even today I've tried to update the categories and it won'...

Re: Newsletter going away???
We're disappointed to learn that they're doing away with the newsletter function. This was our Ward "website" where we could post information and keep members updated. I think the reason it hasn't taken off among Wards is the fact that it can't "push" information. If someone post...

Re: Newsletter - can't delete or add an attachment
This issue happened before about a month ago. They fixed it, and now it's back again. Basically, the text box becomes narrow, and you cannot attach anything to the article, including pictures or pdf files. Please fix!

Re: Newsletter feature is having issues
Same problem here. Cannot post an attachment, and the formatting looks strange - narrow boxes. Anyone else seeing this?

Re: New Date for HT/VT on LCR
We are now beta testers for the LCR 3.0 Beta, and it's exciting to see all the new features! One little hiccup so far: Our High Priest secretary is an Elder. We are not able to assign him as the High Priest secretary in MLS or LCR, because apparently he needs to be a High Priest to hold that positio...

Re: Rights and Roles don't work
This is our first shot at using the Newsletter function on lds.org (we used a blog site for a Ward website before this) so there was no previous use of the newsletter function.

Re: Rights and Roles don't work
They are all in the correct non-custom callings. When I, with my rights, went into the admin function of the newsletter, I was able to turn on administrative/authoring rights for them by adding them by title. I'd be interested if there's anyone else out there who could have their RS or HS or Elder's...
