Re: Church provides a new Zoom Account to local units

Yes! I'm getting the same "User not exist. (1,001)" error message when attempting to activate the Zoom account for two (2) of our units. I've tried contacting Zoom tech support: no dice. They require the meeting ID and Host code, and of course I don't have those *since the account never a...

Re: zoom account alternating hosts

I am unclear on your request. Do you want to know how to get aChurch-linked Zoom account, or how to configure zoom to enable co-host. If this first option... If you are a member of the stake presidency or stake technology specialist, you should have received an email pointing to a letter giving inst...

Remote chapel A/V wiring Pic (Zoom etc)

I'm setting up a Zoom-based stake conference, and remote chapels will receive the meeting via laptop and feed into a projector and chapel sound system.

Here is a simple picture of the basic wiring (excluding lan cable to the laptop):

Re: URGENT: G-Suite Meet vs Zoom

Thank you Russell

With the short notice, should I call Church Services and ask for ICS support?

You mentioned a church Zoom account. I was going to open one just for the meetings, and add-on the Large Meeting option for 500 connections (5 for chapel comms, rest for at-home members).

Re: URGENT: G-Suite Meet vs Zoom

Thank you Dana. I'm more familiar with Zoom, and talked to their sales to learn my options. I am completely unfamiliar with G-Meet, and need to be certain the tech we choose will measure up to our needs. I'll watch for more replies to my post.

URGENT: G-Suite Meet vs Zoom

I am a new STS. I was recently notified that our stake presidency will be reformed in 2 weeks, due to illness. Needs: The presiding authority wants to hold virtual interviews and a virtual adult Saturday night adult session (both require multi-directional webcasts). The Sunday morning session only n...

Excellent write up, bphilli7! Thank you for taking the time, and providing web references for the equipment etc. I'm a new STS and need to ramp up quickly for an unscheduled stake conference.

Re: Dish Removal and streaming device question

Before I can determine if our buildings need one, I need to know what is the "streaming device"? Is it the Teradek VidiU web streaming box, or is it a stream receiver of some kind? Receiver. The idea is it will replace your satellite receiver. Note, this is only for buildings that current...

Dish Removal and streaming device question

I received an email from the Church titled "ACTION ITEMS: Satellite Dish Removal". At the bottom of the message is this step: 3) Determine if streaming devices will be needed in your stake. Please complete the Request for Streaming Receiver Form if additional streaming devices are required...
