I can see this from two different perspectives. While it is true that you can choose meaningful names for subcategories, I've sometimes thought it would be helpful to have a reason line as well. The example that comes to mind is for a Budget income, though. I've been asked in financial audits before...

I am a Ward Clerk, and using this link (when logged in) I am able to access Book 1.

Thanks for the trick! Everything there appears to still be working, including the link to STAPLES. We'll see how long it lasts . . .

Order History on store.lds.org

Any idea how to access past orders for the ward on the new store.lds.org? You used to be able to look at previous orders, what they were, etc. on ldscatalog.com. Am I just missing it, is it gone forever, or is it still in work? On a related note, any ideas on when the link to STAPLES will be active ...

New and Returning Member Progress

Is there a way to save specific members' New and Returning Member Progress forms so that they can be updated and saved in MLS? I've received vague direction to save these forms in MLS so that the stake can see them. I can see how you can "Auto Fill" information about a member, and type in other info...

Annual Church Materials Order

In looking for instructions on what to order for the 2011 curriculum, all I could find was the form for 2010 materials. On the form, it states that orders should be placed by Sep. 15, 2009. I'm guessing that there would be a similar date for curriculum orders this year (e.g. Sep. 15, 2010), but I ca...

I've had reports where - following going into hibernation - a computer will come out on it's own. This can be caused by a scheduled event that wasn't noticed, or being connected to a LAN where a signal was received to bring the PC back to life. Perhaps you are referring to putting the computer in t...

We don't pay for cable - we just get the free stuff over-the-air. So, streaming content online is great. I don't have anything too special (no Tivo or web-enabled TV). I use my laptop with a wireless connection and pipe the audio/video out to the TV from there (S-Video out). We've used it to watch B...

I don't recall the exact version of MLS our ward is currently using, but I'm pretty sure it's later than 3.1.2. However, the standard calling list for Relief Society appear to not be updated (there could be others not updated as well). For example, it doesn't include the "Relief Society Meeting Coor...

I saw this same thing on a CUFS a few months back. I should have just asked my Stake Financial Clerk, but instead I called church headquarters and asked them about it. They said that anything under a certain amount (I think it was $10) they just take care of. There was no action to do on my part. I ...
