Have you checked out the LDS Tech Wiki page about the Mormon Channel application. The plan is to produce an android version of the App. https://tech.lds.org/wiki/index.php/Mormon_Channel Yeah. They have a link to a dead page on there. I was presuming that when they said that an android version woul...

I was actually going to ask for it on BluRay :) They broadcast conference in HD, record the audio in 5.1, but I think only people in KSL's range get the HD feed... It just feels like a shame to record it in beautiful HD quality but not release it or distribute it (except for the KSL broadcast) in th...

Frustrating to know that, but there it is. :( I believe this would constrain not onl...

In doing a bit of digging, I found android has a nice native code wrapper so it might not be hard to use libmms after all.

We'll see how far I get once I get a chance to start working on it. Work is very busy now so it might be a while... maybe by then rtsp will be used.

This post from a Church Employee will answer your question regarding MMS and RTSP: http://tech.lds.org/forum/showthread.php?p=32198#post32198 As for porting libmms, I'm one of the developers trying to work on the Windows Mobile version of the application and I think I'm at a point where I have to r...

Does Mormon Channel really use MMS does is it use RTSP?

It seems odd that the Mormon Channel would use MMS instead of RTSP - since MMS is basically dead. The reason I ask is because if its using WMA over RTSP I can have an android client written very quickly (since rtsp and http streaming is supported as part of the normal android API)... MMS I'd have to...
