Single approver for expenses

Whenever a member of our bishopric enters a check-based fast offering expense, inevitably, he seems to enter in his password twice. This causes the expense detail to show that Submitter is Counselor A, Approver is Counselor A, and Approver is Counselor A. (Ironically, this has occurred for both Coun...

Re: Sacrament Meeting

Rather than use Headset Buddy which is a bit pricy, you can use the Sabrent USB External Stereo Sound Adapter for Windows and Mac. . While it says "mic in" it works fine with the chapel "line out" without distortion. The only drawback is it takes up a USB port and it's a bit wid...

Re: OBS to Zoom

Okay, here's my solution. OBS, by itself, will not convey sound to Zoom using the Virtual Camera. It requires the Virtual Cable driver (https://vb-audio.com/Cable/). After installing the Virtual Cable, I went into OBS File > Settings > Audio >Advanced Audio and set the Virtual Cable as the monitorin...

Re: OBS to Zoom

The OBS virtual camera should act just like a webcam with both audio and video in the source. Adjustments to the audio level in OBS will be reflected in Zoom. If you let Zoom use a different audio source, then audio adjustments in OBS won't affect it. The OBS virtual camera does not appear as a mic...

OBS to Zoom

Our previous setup uses a Webcam for video, OBS for hosting, Meetinghouse Webcast for streaming, and audio through the chapel's sound system (Record jack through a 25' cable and Sabrent adaptor). This has worked wonderfully for us. With the elimination of Meetinghouse Webcast as an option, I am look...

Re: zoom account alternating hosts

Ummm... Yeah, we want to enable RSP, EQP, YWP and bishopric all to be able to host/co-host meetings/breakouts. While several have personal Zoom accounts, there doesn't seem to be a way to assign them ANY privileges. HOW do we add alternative hosts to our unit account? Log in to the Zoom website. Go...

Escheated Checks

Despite efforts to communicate with a ward member, we had a check escheated. In the notice, it says that the check remains a liability until it is properly researched and cleared. At this point, my understanding is that there's not anything more that I can do. I can't void the check. If the member h...

Auditor's records

We had an interesting situation come up yesterday in our audit. Back in May, we made a donation batch. A few days later, one of the checks in that batch was returned. On our Unit Financial Statement for May, it reflects the donation batch amount, and there is a separate line entry for an adjustment ...

Re: Auditor wants all past documents scanned in...Help

Auditor wants all past documents scanned in...Help I have tried several times to figure out how to scan a receipt into the system after the fact. That is to say after the process has been completed and the reimbursement made. It seems though that once the process is complete nothing can be changed....

Re: Change to missionary payment withdrawal date

Any suggestions on how to handle a missionary support transfer? That is, if we send an MLS message and make the transfer effective May 20th, come the first week of June, does our ward's Ward Missionary fund get hit or does the new ward's?
