Re: Children and Youth Emblem Order

When you place the order, it will automatically be divided into two orders: one for the Emblems of Belonging, and the other for Emblems of Achievement crystals. The Emblems of Belonging order will be covered by Church Headquarters, and the crystals will be billed to the ward. Thank you. Is this ord...

Re: Payment Request menu in LCR Finance

I am looking at an audit PDF from January 2014. It specified several ways to determine if the bishop approved the payment. Granted, the new electronic review and approval process makes a physical signature OBE. Did the bishop approve all payments? • Look at the payment records. Make sure the bishop...

Surplus "Other" Funds

Once upon a time, there was official guidance on what to do with Other funds that couldn't be refunded back to the member: send it back to SLC. Searching the forum, I can find the address and instructions ( https://tech.churchofjesuschrist.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=162985#p162985 ). But I can't actu...

Re: Signature Cards on LUFAS

There was a point, and that point may have been 2-3 years ago, when a revision of the audit forms asked the auditor to compare the signatures by asking the clerk to access LCR. Maybe a week after the forms were made available, the message came down that checking the signature screen (by the clerk) r...

Re: Signature Cards on LUFAS

When you pull up the copy of the check, the signature card(s) appear beneath it. If there's more than one, the earlier ones are visible by scrolling farther down.

Re: Processing Donations in Shared Clerks' Office

One of the issues we have in a shared clerks office is other people coming and going while you are entering and counting donations. It can get very confusing and is also impossible to say the donor and amount without others hearing. I read this (See Handbook 1: Stake Presidents and Bishops, 14.5. T...

Re: Expenses

Can you? Yes. If an original receipt or an original invoice is lost, you can substitute in a written explanation with the payment’s purpose, a description of what was bought or paid for, the date the payment was made, the name of the person assisted (for payments from the fast-offering fund), and pr...

Re: Issuing and signing checks

The MLS Expense report has a clear line for the bishop's signature. In the middle of the page, just below the list of checks, there's a small line that acts as a divider with the name of the user who was logged on when the checks were issued. I consider it informational only. I don't consider that a...
