Re: YM Communication Specialist

Is there a calling "YM Communication Specialist"? If so, where is it located? Thanks It's not specific to YM, but the calling of Email Communication Specialist (formerly website administrator) is under Other Callings / Technology, as is the Technology Specialist. The Email Communication S...

Re: Tv in bishops office

Our RS room had a TV mounted in it at least 6 months ago. I've been somewhat expecting an installation or relocation of a power outlet to follow, because there aren't any outlets within at least 15' of this TV with its 6' cord. So far, that hasn't happened.

Re: Ward TS privileges

Based on the list of included responsibilities in the Handbook, 33.10, I doubt it: - Teach members how to access and use Church media, apps, and other technology tools, including FamilySearch. - Support leaders and teachers who use technology tools to fulfill their callings. - Manage streaming of me...

Re: Auditor Question

LUFAS allows an auditor to pre-select transactions prior to a unit’s audit. Should (or can) the auditor share the list of pre-selected transactions with the unit clerk? Sure. During the audit, when you are reviewing the items and their supporting documentation. Not before. The goal of an audit is t...

Re: Reimbursement creator is changing to me (ward clerk)

The organizations can't create expenses, because that takes certain Finance permissions. They can only provide you with the details through the Request, and essentially ask you to create the expense. So, when you save or finalize the request, you are the one creating the expense. It's the functional...

Single approver for expenses

Whenever a member of our bishopric enters a check-based fast offering expense, inevitably, he seems to enter in his password twice. This causes the expense detail to show that Submitter is Counselor A, Approver is Counselor A, and Approver is Counselor A. (Ironically, this has occurred for both Coun...

Re: Sacrament Meeting

Rather than use Headset Buddy which is a bit pricy, you can use the Sabrent USB External Stereo Sound Adapter for Windows and Mac. . While it says "mic in" it works fine with the chapel "line out" without distortion. The only drawback is it takes up a USB port and it's a bit wid...

Re: OBS to Zoom

Okay, here's my solution. OBS, by itself, will not convey sound to Zoom using the Virtual Camera. It requires the Virtual Cable driver (https://vb-audio.com/Cable/). After installing the Virtual Cable, I went into OBS File > Settings > Audio >Advanced Audio and set the Virtual Cable as the monitorin...

Re: OBS to Zoom

The OBS virtual camera should act just like a webcam with both audio and video in the source. Adjustments to the audio level in OBS will be reflected in Zoom. If you let Zoom use a different audio source, then audio adjustments in OBS won't affect it. The OBS virtual camera does not appear as a mic...
