Yeah, I prefer the ability to cover the hole rather than just putting a sign up warning about it.

Re: HELP! CALENDARS INADVERTENTLY DELETED!!!

The problem is you can’t really ***do*** anything in the calendar on the Tools app aside from viewing. Which is perfectly fine if the person in question is a default admin but isn't expected to be doing anything with the calendars other than looking at them. Right. What happened here is he thought ...

Re: HELP! CALENDARS INADVERTENTLY DELETED!!!

Thank you for the insider feedback. You mentioned the bishopric members have admin control over all the ward calendars by default (if I understood you correctly). Do I have any control over this? Aside from training the bishopric members? No. I think if you tell them to stay on member tools and nev...

Thank you for the insider feedback. You mentioned the bishopric members have admin control over all the ward calendars by default (if I understood you correctly). Do I have any control over this? I won't be unable to convince our ward organizations to use the calendar faithfully if there's a risk of...

Re: HELP! CALENDARS INADVERTENTLY DELETED!!!

Turns out as I was walking our bishopric through the process of adding the calendars to their mobile devices this morning, one of them deleted some calendars thinking they were just removing them from their own subscription list. The similarities between the Choose Calendars and Manage Calendars opt...

HELP! CALENDARS INADVERTENTLY DELETED!!!

As a first-time bishopric member, I am pushing hard on the technology front to get our ward on the same page with event scheduling. So I'm "converting" them to the "gospel" of the shared calendar. Alas, we're off to a catastrophic start as it appears someone with admin rights has...

Re: Adding ward's High Council representative to private calendar?

My guess is that usually the meeting is at a standard time and place (1st and 3rd Sunday at 9AM) so it's not really necessary to have access to the calendar to keep track. Having to have access to the calendar suggest the meetings are all over the place in terms of scheduling. Yes, 90% of the time ...

Re: Adding ward's High Council representative to private calendar?

I think the church has the ability to code the calendar allow stake members on ward private calendars if they want to and (personally) take the fact the it cannot be done as a sign that either it is not specifically desired or not high enough on their priority list to warrant coding time. Or maybe ...

Re: Adding ward's High Council representative to private calendar?

As a last resort, I will request that my stake create a private calendar for our ward Bishopric at the stake level, which I hope will eliminate the problem with adding our High Councilman to the calendar. If I remember correctly you will not be able to add editors/viewers by Ward calling if you go ...

Re: Adding stake leaders to a private ward calendar

Funny, I'm a brand-new Bishopric member currently faced with exactly the same dilemma. I have been unable to find a solution. When I contacted the tech support folks at the Church, they said this has never been requested before. Which is baffling to me. Which ward doesn't want to be able to include ...
