Ward Calendar Editor permissions missing WML

When creating a new Ward Calendar, I made it Private and added several viewers by calling. It's a "Ward Council" calendar, so the Ward Mission Leader should have access. But I see that there is no selectable position for the Ward Mission Leader. Is this a bug?

Well the new URL after this fix isn't giving me an error any more, and I do get a 10KB file, but Google Calendar isn't showing any events as a result of me subscribing to that calendar.

The Google Calendar sync URL is broken. Not only does it not get appointments to show up in my Google Calendar, but when I go to the URL directly my browser reports that the server returned an HTTP 500 error: This page contains the following errors: error on line 1 at column 1: Document is empty Bel...

Directory export as vcard in new.lds.org

The vcard export of the ward directory in classic lds.org is perfect for Gmail import. The other options result in a very poor (almost useless) import.

Can you please make sure to recreate this export capability on the new directory web site before deleting the old one?

As for the domain name itself, I personally think a better name could be selected, though I'm having trouble thinking of one. The StackOverflow name obviously has a great programming connotation, but I don't see how StackExchange really fits the context you are trying to provide. I wouldn't mind tr...

LDS Doctrine & History on StackExchange

Hey folks, Many of you may have heard of StackOverflow , the absolutely superb forum for programming-related Q&A. Well they've opened it up to others to set up their own web sites for Q&A of various non-programming topics. I've set up a web site for general doctrinal & church history Q&A: http://lds...

I'm glad the information was useful to you, and hopefully to the Church as well.

Yes, Kim Cameron is a Microsoft employee who works on Cardspace. Definitely an expert in the field. :)

mkmurray, OpenID's deficiencies that you quoted are not deficiencies in the protocol as much as in common implementations. If OpenIDs use HTTPS then they are every bit as secure as Cardspace in terms of DNS poisoning attacks. OpenID does not mandate use of HTTPS though, and thus many sites don't for...

Hi Tom, Thanks for the clue. Since the Church is already considering it, the biggest takeaway I hope you can pass to the Powers That Be is to strongly consider not being an OpenID Provider, but just a relying party. The security of your users is inversely proportional to the number of Providers they...
