It looks like you might not running it with java 6. Java 5 (Java2 1.5) does not include grouplayout in it's standard API, where as Java 6 does. let me know if this works out. long time coming .....

I wouldn't say it is feature complete by any means but there is a 0.2 release of Scripture Study Plus that I've posted to Google's code hosting site. It can be downloaded from: http://code.google.com/p/scripturestudyplus Please keep in mind that this is still considered at best beta quality software...

It looks like you are leaning toward the online only thing. However, with a little processing of the text on the front end, the same viewer could be used for both the lds.org version and the CD version. SourceForge Project Approved

For those interested in helping to develop this project, I have started a source forge project called Scripture Study Plus. It took almost a full week to get approved. When the Copyright and permissions office is open, I seem to forget to call about the concerns i have with potential copyright issue...

Since Scripture Notes is taken, Then I think a good name for the project might be 'Scripture Study Plus'. If there is a problem with this name let me know. I don't want to take names from other people.

Sourceforge project

I am working on this - but won't probabally be able to create the poject until next week. I am working on quite a few programming projects for school right now. the end of semester projects are swampping me with school work.

I see the value in both approaches. I use Google notes (still in labs) to take notes while in class. sometimes the wireless signal disconnects and I can lose up to a whole class worth of notes. In situations like that it would be nice to have a stand alone app that I can use offline, and be able to ...
